Explanation for dummy edit
[edit]Undid IP for redlink, turned out it went to the same place (Conservative party, it was just a typographical error in the link. Sorry about that. Hx7 08:37, 12 July 2016 (UTC)
The article name was Tina Stowell, Baroness Stowell of Beeston.
Thanks
[edit]You were right: it was the wrong tag. The IP had edited my User page, revealing my name.--Enzino (talk) 19:51, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

UCL Versus SSC Census Population Figures
[edit]I have received previous criticism for using Urban Centre / Locality Census Population Figures as opposed to State Suburb. It is my understanding when describing a town, it would be preferable to refer to the UCL figure where available (as it describes the population associated with the urban area) rather than the State Suburb (which can often include surrounding rural populations and excludes multi-suburb urban areas). I note that you also regularly update census population figures and was wondering what you thoughts were on this matter?
- To be perfectly honest from my side of the story, I would go ahead with what has been used for the previous census data, however there are a very small number cases where a change of type might be necessary, so I agree with your statement to a certain extent. An equal proportion of the Tasmanian census data that has been updated from my side appears to be using UCL instead of SSCs (some of the smaller villages might be State Suburbs instead of UCLs). Disambiguation link notification for May 17
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Purdis Farm, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page East Suffolk (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:11, 17 May 2019 (UTC)

RPP edit
[edit]Hello. This good-faith edit seems to have gone a bit messy on you and I have attempted to repair the damage. If you want to have another go at fixing something, fine, but please go with caution. I was a bit miffed to find that my recent edit had vanished. Cheers DBaK (talk) 12:55, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah, I was trying to manually revert some IP vandalism because what the IP did was mess up the structure of the RFPP page (for which I warned the IP on their talk) and RFPP is a high traffic page and the edits from the IP went unnoticed between the time the IP made that edit and when users put new protection requests so when I was trying to undo it, it was creating a mess on my part. Hx7 12:58, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- Understood. We've all been there! :) Cheers DBaK (talk) 13:03, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- I'll try taking it one by one and if not, I'll leave that part to someone who is more experienced at dealing with manual reverts since I don't want to create a mess on high traffic pages. Hx7 13:09, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- I think I have fixed it - please have a quick look. Then it would be nice if the IP were blocked for 43 years ... cheers DBaK (talk) 13:13, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- PS Sorry, I didn't want to look like I was pushily taking over! I just thought it seemed a bit churlish of me to moan at you but then not try to help! Cheers DBaK (talk) 13:18, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the help - the cleanup was exactly what I expected to see, and I have already reverted the vandalism that the IP in question did to other pages too, so all's good now. Hx7 13:21, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
