Portals
[edit]Links to portals normally should go in a "See also" section over "External links". The latter section is for links to other websites that aren't http://en.wikipedia.org/ . Another quick thought, but it isn't necessary to add a link to United States portal on an article that doesn't have national importance; the link to Michigan portal or is sufficient. (Normally we go with the most-specific item that fits the topic.)
If you want to add a See also section, you can add *{{portal-inline|Metro Detroit}}
as an entry to make a one-item bulleted list. I only use {{portal}} if there are other items to list. For a comparison, you can take a look at the see also section on M-35 (Michigan highway) and M-553 (Michigan highway) to see what I mean. Imzadi 1979 → 18:48, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice, I'll keep that in mind! --I8086 (talk) 18:54, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
