Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you.--Hu12 (talk) 16:36, 31 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. If you prefer to be unblocked for the purpose of changing your username to a username which complies with our username policy, so that your contributions with this username are recorded as contributions of your new username and rather than creating a new account, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice instead. Thank you. This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I'm not convinced that you will not continue your promotional activity. Max Semenik (talk) 11:07, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It's wonderful that you have chosen to join Wikipedia, however, when you signed up, you agreed not to write articles about subjects where you hold WP:COI 10:34, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

I hope im doing this ok, I chose the username Independentwiki because I knew that I wanted to write my first article about Independent Collectors, not because I wanted to spam wikipedia. I think i didnt read the username guides well enough before picking a name. Any spam was unintentional, I read up on the rules concerning external links now and wont add any more.

  • That article may not be here much longer, as it might be deleted after community discussion. If you're permitted to change your username and continue editing, what other articles would you like to work on - it's painfully obvious due to your username and IP address that you have a direct WP:COI relationship with the subject you have been writing about, and suggesting otherwise is simply untrue (✉→BWilkins←✎) 10:00, 12 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
