Speedy deletion of The Ryan White Story

[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Ryan White Story requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:KristineClose.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 19:17, 4 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:KristineWalk.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:KristineWalk.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:KristineBoss.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:KristineBoss.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 22:56, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kristine W

[edit]

The image File:Kristine W.jpg works fine, is of much higher quality and resolution than the other, and was specifically requested by the article subject. Images of living people are also covered under WP:BLP, and we received an e-mail to the Wikipedia:Volunteer response team from the subject specifically regarding the image. Please leave the donated image in place. Thank you. -- Avi (talk) 08:20, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The picture does not work. It is broken. It does not work for friends I sent here to check either. --IndyLogan (talk) 18:37, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Works perfectly for me. What browser are you using? -- Avi (talk) 07:30, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Picture works fine now. It really did not work using either IE or Firefox for me or my friends for awhile. Should have updated my response to it before I edited the page! Sorry! Thanks for all your hard work!!! -- IndyLogan (talk) 07:49, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

West Highland White Terrier

[edit]

Hi there,

I've taken another look at the images on West Highland White Terrier and have realised that you are right - the dog in the photo you uploaded is of a better quality than the one in the image I switched to. The less encyclopedic element I can fix - you see the only problems with your image was the dog appeared quite small once reduced to a thumbnail and the brightness was a bit high, but I'll fix that in photoshop and upload it as a derivative work of yours on Commons (so that the original image won't be removed). Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The file File:KristineClose.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 14 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
