A tag has been placed on Global Maritime Academy Nigeria, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. How to fix your page[edit]

As Global Maritime Academy Nigeria is sure to be soon deleted, I wanted to copy my last reply at its talk page here, so that you'd have the information even after the page is deleted:

I have noted that the page is not only blatantly promotional, but also copied verbatim from the school's website, which is a copyright violation. Your inexperience at Wikipedia is noted, and no punishment will come to you for having created this page, but the page itself cannot be allowed to remain due to the fact that it violates several Wikipedia policies. This is a common error among new users; the rules of Wikipedia can be tricky to learn.
In order to correct your mistakes, as you have asked, this page would have to be rewritten from the ground up. The page should not be written in a manner to imply that it is an official communication of the school itself. Wikipedia is not a place for schools, companies, people, or any other entity to post information about themselves. It is a place where disinterested third parties write about entities in a neutral tone, relying on information available in reliable sources. The page should also not be written in a manner that would tend to entice a reader to want to attend the school, nor should it invite readers to apply to the school. Finally, the article must be written in your own words; words that have not previously been published under anyone else's copyright. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 20:53, 13 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
