Kablam

[edit]

There is no fifth season of Kablam. It ended after season 4. A quick Google search confirms this. The entire paragraph is just made up nonsense. Its a joke. Half of the stuff it describes (A Dragonball Z parody?!) would amount to copyright infringement. Yonskii (talk) 00:55, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fieseler Fi 156

[edit]

You have reverted some changes I have made in the past couple of days on the page bearing the same name. At least the Bibliography should have remained untouched as the following is still relevant to the page:

  • Fieseler Fi 156 Storch im Zweiten Weltkrieg - Piekalkiewicz, Janusz. Stuttgart: Motorbuch, 1977 192 p. ISBN 3-87943-445-X

Fair use rationale for File:Web_Host_Manager_-_root.PNG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Web_Host_Manager_-_root.PNG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Melesse (talk) 01:08, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

printinghouse.tv

This is a highly notable reality show in Vancouver and helped change local legislation which has had wide impact across canada. The show gets over 6,000 hits per day and issues thousands of hours of user driven content. How can it not be notable? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.67.170.77 (talk) 23:15, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Even though it helped changed local legislation. I'm not the original person that added the deletion request, but I agree, it doesn't pass WP:GNG. Also, where does it say that the site gets over 6,000 visitors? Perhaps you should wait for Stickee to respond to your comment too. JV Smithy (talk) 23:33, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
JV Smithy, If anyone contests a PROD, the article may not be re-proposed and must instead be escalated to WP:AFD if it is to be deleted. WP:PROD says: "If any person objects to the deletion (usually by removing the {{proposed deletion}} tag), the proposal is aborted and may not be re-proposed." I have undone your re-adding of the PROD and nominated it to AFD. Thanks, Stickee (talk) 23:37, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thanks for letting me know. I actually wasn't sure. JV Smithy (talk) 23:39, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again - it's really interesting to see the process here to work this out. Is there anywhere on the system that helps new users work their way through this complex process. Now that i've put a bit of work into this page, i would really like to see it to fruition. Can you help me or is there like a wiki advocate who can support me to do this right? I don't want to publish fluff, but i also don't want to see it shot down either. Thanks guys! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.67.170.77 (talk) 00:54, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe you can get help on WP:N?. I'm not really an editor, for the most part, I revert vandalism. Also can you sign(add ~~~~ to end) your talk page messages. JV Smithy (talk) 01:03, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lock

[edit]

This is what I use a lock for, and it's what most people I know have locks for. Is there any way to work it into the article? 68.226.125.73 (talk) 20:52, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It seemed a bit racist to me. If you can add it without naming specific ethnicities, it might be okay. JV Smithy (talk) 20:55, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You requested that I add it without naming specific ethnicities. I did so. Are you changing your mind? 68.226.125.73 (talk) 01:12, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've undid your reversion of my edit - most of that material did not have any citation for it, and the balance should have had it. Tabercil (talk) 22:02, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted it to work on it then I forgot. Sorry JV Smithy (talk) 00:33, 18 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nelly - 5.0 album - Incorrect information

[edit]

Message for JV Smithy,

Please notice that a user called Tha EnSign (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Tha_EnSiGN), which postings you have previously removed due to vandalism has posted incorrect information, this time on -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5.0 - under the section bonus tracks. The composition "GO" is not produced by "JBEATZZ" whoever that is. The correct information as to who produced this song would be "MultiMan & Frenchie Kadouch". The site is protected and we don't know how to make the correction. Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Artistmanagementny (talkcontribs) 00:53, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

re: MC Hammer edit

[edit]

What is going on with editors today, you're the second not to accept a valid edit!? Are you using some auto feature that doesn't approve certain edits? Just because Ho is in the edit, doesn't make it unacceptable. Ho Frat Ho is a group Hammer created. Discuss with me first before reverting! It is a valid edit, with fixes and sources. Please don't "reject" it without talking about your reason(s). Thanks! 63.131.4.149 (talk) 22:23, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

FYI: Not sure if you viewed the edit, but I had to recopy and move some of the entries so they were in order in addition to adding sources regarding Ho Frat Ho. There was a edit conflict, so that may be why you think I changed things or whatever. Not sure, but editors need to do better researching and checking edits before they're not approved. Very frustrating when done in good faith! 63.131.4.149 (talk) 22:32, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't use any auto features to approve/reject edits. I base the decision on the user contributions, warnings, and partially based on the content. I've approved your edit after I decided to take a look at it again. JV Smithy (talk) 00:06, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I had no warnings except the editor right before you who made a mistake. All my Hammer contributions have been good from the get-go. Very unproductive actions, but so be it. It shouldn't have been rejected in the first place. Nonetheless, thanks for realizing it was fine. Not sure why you didn't see that in the first place. This ends our communication on the matter, bye. 63.131.4.149 (talk) 04:20, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:31, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Web Host Manager - root.PNG)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Web Host Manager - root.PNG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:50, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
