Hello. Even if you want to list that Xherdan Shaqiri is born in Kosovo, there are two things you need to take into consideration. Firstly, you don't on an encyclopedia present it in CAPITAL letters (ie. KOSOVO), a simple "Kosovo" will suffice. The other thing is that there is a preference for sovereign nations at the time of birth, so Kosovo, then Yugoslavia is the best option. Given the nature of Kosovo's status at the time, some may wish for Serbia to be included but that is something that requires discussion. Thanks. The Big Hoof!
