Thanks for the welcome and for the advice. noticed you have fixed it for me but will try to get it right next time. STBot

[edit]

Hi, I removed STBot from WP:AIV. What exactly is wrong? From looking at the edits it seems to adding the wfy tag to deadend pages and the uncategorised tag to uncategorised articles. Garion96 (talk) 22:22, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, you weren't too hasty. I blocked the bot. Perhaps next time it might be handy to mention an example. With an anon that's simple (usually all of them are vandalism) with a bot it's harder to check through the contributions. Garion96 (talk) 22:31, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Gordon Park

[edit]

Hello J.Milburn

I am Jeremy Park, son of Carol Park and Gordon Park, who you have written about.

Firstly, thanks, you have obviously put a lot of effort into the Gordon Park page.

I edited last week (unsourced as you say) as I did not have a Wiki username. I am actually quite a reliable source as I have most of the case files in my office and sat in the court room every single day of the 8-week trial (except 2 days), and made my own notes. Some of the content on the freegordon website contains minor errors as it was written by others (e.g. press articles and the Judges summing up are near perfect but not quite) but I don't feel it's my place to edit those because of copyright / other issues.

The reason I leave this message is because there are still some inaccuracies in your latest edition (leaving aside comments you might regard as biased). Notable errors are:

Mention of the ice axe, what was actually said about it, and when it was said, how the ice axe got into the case at all.

Also the rock and the slate. You have those mixed up i'm afraid. All my comments about the geology and continuity of evidence are accurate.

Wainwright was never a cellmate of my Dad's.

"most of who were loyal friends of Carol's too" is emmotive, fair enough !

I think your use of words "false evidence" could give the wrong impression.

Woffinden not Wiffinden.

We have held 2 vigils to date (one for each year).

The bullet points you have removed - many believe they are significant.

Not wanting to criticise but would you consider editing some back in?

Thanks again jeremypark@freegordon.com —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.154.159.49 (talk) 19:19, 18 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I think SmackBot is editing while not logged in. Please see 172.146.36.39 (talk · contribs). The IP has been blocked for 24 hours. J Milburn 18:30, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not SmackBot. I don't believe AWB can edit unless it is logged in - as an approved user. Also the edits are too slow, and include definitely manual edits. Rich Farmbrough, 20:02 24 March 2007 (GMT).

Hey J Milburn, thanks for your Support at Homer's Phobia's FAC, it is much appreciated, and the article passed. Gran2 17:30, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My assessment was based on the fact that although it was a rather small article it had inline citations, which elevated it from Stub to Start. To improve this article I would suggest trying to expand it as much as you can - it's so small that's all. There's no info about the recording of the albums and so on and how they evolved into the fully realised release, how he signed to certain labels etc. Since the band is metal based and is small, there must be a few webzine interviews lying around you can use for sources. A quick Google source threw up this one. Good luck with the article, and feel free to join in the Metal assessments (I'm currently a lone party in that). Most of my efforts have revolved around the Slayer WikiProject (I managed to get Christ Illusion to FA). LuciferMorgan 20:40, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BRAINS!

[edit]

At I-Con XXVI this past sunday, before he sung Land of The Dead, Voltaire announced that the episode was to air the following friday night. I checked tvguide.com, and the Billy & Mandy movie is set to air that night, and the plot takes place in the "underworld", so I'm assuming that's correct.

Drunk injuns at AfD

[edit]

Nope, didn't think it was enough, placed a comment under your vote, and dropped a line here like you wanted. Have they been interviewed anywhere notable? That's the gist of my point. Dunno if my vote's that important anyway, though. Never understood how Wikipedia notability criteria gets used in practice. AllGloryToTheHypnotoad 23:25, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Haven't gone to see what you've put in the AfD discussion yet, but personally, I don't mind either way if the article gets kept. I personally like the philosophy that Wikipedia is not paper, but I know saying that counts for nothing in an AfD, and have seen notable articles deleted for no good reason (that's why I said I don't understand how WP:N gets used in practice - as far as I'm concerned it doesn't). I just wish more admins would use a no consensus result instead of imposing rabid deletionism on everyone. AllGloryToTheHypnotoad 13:02, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Film notability issue

[edit]

Hi, I am doing work on the lists of films by country and came across your notability tag on Greek film I Phouska. I have gone through several thousands of films which are about as insignificant as this one and I am fighting to keep some limiting factors at least when film entries in lists are red-linked (see Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Films/List and navigation management). I am glad to say that there at least there is some agreement. Months ago, I started a discussion in Village Pump about film notability, which has been deleted since, where it was mentioned that per policy, any film that was ever screened and for which acceptable references can be found is "notable", although project specific guidelines could restrict this. So I tried to reawaken a sleeping page on film notability (Wikipedia:Notability (films)) by posting messages in various directions. The result was that after it was heavily edited by user zadignoze, it was rejected again. For a relative discussion about this, see also here*. I see only one viable way ahead (unless of course Notability (film) can be somehow rewitten and accepted as official guidelines) and that is to let all the thousands of unimportant film articles just be. A huge compromise, but what other way is there? Hoverfish Talk 13:47, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the input. I certainly would like to have all these film articles of very questionable notability somehow marked, so they appear somewhere in a category that can be checked, filtered and possibly AfD'd by more than just a handful of film gnomes. Maybe a film-specific notability tag... I will suggest it and see if it gathers any support. Cheers. Hoverfish Talk 15:04, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

US-centric main page (in response to your comment on the ITN error report)

[edit]

I am not quite sure how you could say that automatically presuming that anyone who reads the fact is American is not US-centric. I am British, and so I read the phrase ambassador to India and I think of the English ambassador. Presuming that people will automatically think they are American is presuming that everyone who reads it is American. J Milburn 19:54, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No one is presuming that anyone who reads the fact is American. No one is presuming that anyone who reads that fact will know Rush Limbaugh is American. It said that the person was an ambassador to India, not the ambassador to India. The use of the indefinite article, rather than the definite article means that the country of origin was just omitted. Take a look at the other responses to your comment; others seem to agree with me. -- tariqabjotu 21:38, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hell, you got me there. In any case, it would look a lot better if it said the country of origin. J Milburn 21:41, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Celestiial

[edit]

Looks mostly fine to me, though the structure may need a look. For example, the "Desolate North" subsection of "Musical styles" makes no reference to the album so at present either a title change is needed, or you need to proper clarify the subject in the writing. Right now it seems like a generalised description of the band's music as opposed to a description of the music of Desolate North. More of the infobox needs filling in, such as "Years active" and the band's official website URL.

Saying Desolate North receieved mostly positive reviews would be POV. To avoid this, say "Critic X of Y magazine said "this album is good", whereas Critic C of D webzine said "this album rocks"". This would avoid slight POV which is in the "History" section.

Keep looking for more info, such as recording location etc. It's probably B now (and more deserving than some other B class articles), but it'd need further expansion and structural work for GA. You've chosen quite an obscure band to work on - I wish other metal fans would do up stubs like this. Oh well... LuciferMorgan 16:12, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I tweaked my above reply so it makes better sense. Once you've done everything you said you would do in your reply to me, submit it for peer review. Seegoon and Ceoil are rather good at reviewing music articles, so if you want another pair of eyes to look at it, kindly ask them and say I recommended them. Really, if you keep at this one I think it could eventually find GA - depends on available sources really. As concerns any other bands to work on, to be fair there are a ton of them that need TLC, so you're spoilt for choice. I'd try your best to get this one to GA before working on other bands though, and I hope googling will throw up more interviews (they're good for info usually). LuciferMorgan 16:35, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I hope the interviews are of help. Your only other hope is to hope he actually does more interviews. That'd be cool if he does - I do a bit of interviewing myself. Last band I interviewed was One Man Army and the Undead Quartet. LuciferMorgan 17:36, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have a quite easy way of publishing interviews - through www.lucemfero.com which is my own website. It's quite new though so hasn't been properly designed graphically, so I doubt Tanner would take an interview request from me seriously yet. At the minute I'm interviewing bands on the Nuclear Blast label (I have a contact), and am awaiting the site to be designed before making new contacts etc. After the site's designed though (should be this month according to the website designer) I'll get back to you. LuciferMorgan 18:10, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If you're in contact via email, do you think Tanner would donate an image under free license for the infobox of Celestiial? That'd help you out a little. LuciferMorgan 18:17, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability concern re: Transplants in Mind article

[edit]

No offense taken with regard to the notability concern. :) I have added 3 sources (2 from bbc.co.uk) to help firm up the article's notability. Please let me know if this satisfies or if more is desired.PimpThatSnack 12:06, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Further sources cited. While I stress this charity is notable, it is also true that they are cack-handed at their own publicity, so while people know about National Transplant Week (and I can quote LOTS of sources for this week) the charity behind it isn't mentioned terribly often in the same articles. They are the direct organisers of it, however. PimpThatSnack 12:56, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New sources added to Rahman Jamaal

[edit]

Hey J,

This is Rahman. Thanks for your time in administering the article on me. I am trying my best to meet the criteria you've requested and added some new sources for you to check. In terms of notability, if you Google my name you will see it show up in many sources, some more notable than others. I want to assure you that putting up an article on Wikipedia is not for "vanity" purposes whatsoever and saying so is a rather misleading opinion. I have not begun promoting myself as an artist yet I have already accomplished a lot, and I'm on my way to accomplishing a lot more in the fields of music and education. Associates of mine Shamako Noble and Emcee Lynx both have biography/articles on Wikipedia. The film I was in, "The Beat" is an important resource for hip hop culture and education for those who are familiar with the hip hop movement and organizations such as the Hip Hop Association and Hip Hop Congress. There's a lot more I could say on the matter if you wish to take the time to correspond with me...I understand it's difficult to know whether I'm telling the truth without actually knowing who I am. But if you have any concern as to the legimacy of my claims, I would be happy to answer any of your questions directly.

Thank you again for your help and Peace.

Needs fixing

[edit]

Cool. Umm, I don't know if you're the right person to see about this, but I left a comment on the "2000s in music" talk page. It's about something that needs editing (fixing), someone who can reliably state it with sources. The information currently on that page, regarding Regina Spektor, is incorrect.

Thanks for your contributions to the new article on J0806. I appreciate people who actually take the time to cleanup a page, instead of merely tagging it for cleanup. You may notice, that I reworded it extensively, as the original page was simply a copy-and-paste of the "picture of the day" description. Now, as to the copyright status of the image in question, J0806.jpg. I interpret it as being public domain. The relavent sentences of the NASA copyright page are as follows:

1. You may use NASA imagery, video and audio material if it is for educational or informational purposes, including photo collections, textbooks, public exhibits and Internet Web pages.

8. NASA material is not protected by copyright unless noted. If copyrighted, permission should be obtained from the copyright owner prior to use. If not copyrighted, NASA material may be reproduced and distributed without further permission from NASA.

By my interpretation of these, that would mean that the webpage upon which NASA posts these images would have the word "copyright" in the image credits. However, the following statment was at the end of the article.

Image credit: NASA/Tod Strohmayer (GSFC)/Dana Berry (Chandra X-Ray Observatory)

As I interpret it, this is not copyright. If you interpret it a different way, feel free to let me know, and thanks for editing Wikipedia!--Vox Rationis (Talk | contribs) 19:29, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Diesel Punk Deletion Request

[edit]

Update: I just noticed that you left a note on my talk page earlier (I'm still getting the hang of this Wikipedia experience) I'm glad you enjoyed the article, unfortunately they're trying to delete it!! I can't believe it :( . BTW Even if they do succeed in taking it down I'm glad you enjoyed the read, I myself am really into all the "punks" and happy to see similar tastes halfway around the world.

J Milburn,

I saw that you categorized the Dieselpunk page I added earlier today. I really appreciate the work you put into placing it the "punk" category page. I even discovered biopunk on it!! I went to check up on it today and it was marked for deletion which is upsetting to me since I believe this to be a valid genre and deserves it's own little niche on Wikipedia. If you have any arguments on why this page should remain on Wikipedia could you add them to the Discussion page. It would really be appreciated, it's a little frustrating when I add my first article and less than 24 hours later it's been marked to be deleted. Thanks for all your time!!

Hey man thanks for all your help. I think I'm pretty much through with being a contributor to wikipedia though. I suppose I'll have to start with making my own webpage on the subject and start collecting resources and perhaps I'll try again in the future. Thanks again!

Hi! After 20 days I'm here! Sorry for the delay; I must admit I forgot you, but it was also a period during which my prograph was tough. To the point: I think that both ways of presenting the arguments and counter-arguments would be acceptable. Personally, I think I would implement proposition 2: I would create a section about the controversy, and I would name one by one what the defense regards as flawes evidence. For each issue of flawed evidence, I would expose what both sides argue, and then I would move to the next one. This is how I think about it now, but this does not mean that propositin 1 wouldn't work; I am not "in" the article as an editor, and I don't have a "feeling" of it. When I face such dilemmas, I usually follow my instict, and most times it works fine! Cheers!--Yannismarou 10:52, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I agree. think we should just replace images with like for like if we have any better versions of what is already there. Kijog 14:06, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds about right. I'm working on the older images. I've had email correspondance with Mark McLean (of History... fame) who says there's a guy in Askam who has most of the now-defunct Askam and Ireleth Historical Society archives. Turns out my mum and dad know him, so I'll pay him a visit next time I'm back. I don't think there will be any copyright problems for stuff over 100 years old. As for good images, a panorama style shot of Askam from St Peter's churchyard would look quite cool. Kijog 14:27, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I'm concerned, it's my copyright, because I took the image of the logo. The rule I've always followed (professionally - I'm a journalist) is whoever 'presses the shutter' has copyright. Otherwise, if I took a picture of a shop, would the picture copyright belong to the shop simply because it included their logo? Kijog 15:37, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oddity

[edit]

For some reason, earlier today, I got a message saying that an article I had just nomited for deletion was CREATED by me and then you deleted it. I didn't create it. I can't figure out what caused it, but it happened at least twice yesterday. Do you think this is a glitch? TaylorSAllen 22:13, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

O'Byrne

[edit]

This may not be an important article to you, but this was an article that was linked to an American high school that asked for a definition for "Michael O'Byrne". As an administrator there, I find that it would be very beneficial to add a definition to the open link that is O'Byrne, especially as our lure at our school is the program he is coordinator of. So, if there is something that I should change to have him available to viewing of those who Italic textareItalic text interested, I would love the suggestions!! Mme. Fight For The Universe

[edit]

Why did you delete this website?

there is a whole group of people behind this, and although you may not find it notible. there are mnay people who say otherwise.

One of our members made this page, as soon as he gave us the link, it said that you had deleted, as least you could have contacted him about the page instead of the immediate deleting of the page. I was going to go and add to the page myself before i realized that you had deleted it.

i know that we may not be a significant operation... and im sorry if were causing you a hassle but this all just makes me angry, i thought wikipedia was an open community, not one where only certain things can be written about. a place where a new developing site could be noticed and allowed to be shown to other people...

New page deletion

[edit]

I created a new page describing the Leonard Development Group which you immediately deleted. Please restore the page. The content is minimal, but the company is real, existed for several years and at one time had the single best selling development environment for the Apple Macintosh. If that isn't a good enough reason for leaving the article, I don't know what is. P.S. I have no affiliation with this defunct company, but I know about it and thought it was better to have the content than a preexisting link in Wikipedia that goes nowhere.

Furthermore, I believe this policy of delete first and ask questions later is a very poor idea. Of course pure spam should be deleted, but this was clearly not the case with this posting. Please contact me if you disagree with my position, otherwise please restore the content.

---

If you search for "TML Pascal" in Google you will find many references to this product, several of them from well known Mac user groups. This includes www.mactech.com, www.macedition.com, and web.mac.com. Much of the literature concerning this company is not available on the internet since it predates the internet as we know it today (at that time it was mostly still a means of communicating amoung certain universities and government agencies). So short of going to a library and reviewing 20 year old magazines I don't have a lot of proof. Except that if you ask ANY programmer who coded on the Macintosh when it was first released 23 years ago, you would learn that they generally coded in TML Pascal. I'm not sure why you are so dead set on disallowing new content to be added to Wikipedia, but this is certainly not how it was years ago when I entered several articles, which were improved and now remain as yet more information for the millions of readers of the document. Maybe I will go dig up the articles in those old magazines just to shut you up, but this is not how Wikipedia grew to it's current state. When you make the bar for additions too high, people just won't bother. For example, I KNOW 100 percent that there are tons of magazine articles written about the TML Pascal Compiler, but since they aren't on the internet to prove it to you, am I (and anyone else who wants to submit an article) really going to spend the time to drive over to some research library (generally NOT a public library) and track down the references for some pedantic Wiki guardian. Really it makes me sad to see something I worked on and regarded highly to be perverted in this way.

---

You keep coming back with your same lame argument and repeatedly ignoring the content I have added to PROVE what you are so worried about (did you even look at the references I listed above???). Here are three more citations that you will ignore:

Stack Package Implementing Tasks and Coroutines for TML Pascal on the Macintosh Source Technical Report: DCS-TR86-110 Year of Publication: 1986 Author Mark Sherman Publisher Dartmouth College Hanover, NH, USA

OOPSLA '87, Volume 23 Issue 5 Making Products Using Object-Oriented Programming John Uebbing - Hewlett-Packard Laboratories (Chair) Jim Waite - Hewlett-Packard Lake Stevens Instrument Division Tom Lanning - AT&T Ragu Raghavan - Mentor Graphics Corporation Carl Nelson - Carl Nelson and Associates Alen Schiller - Wild Leitz Hamid Eghbalnia - Artecon Inc.

Maze Game for the Macintosh Source Technical Report: DCS-TR86-101 Year of Publication: 1986

Each of these articles discusses the company's product. How about actually thinking and reading instead of the same knee-jerk reaction... I haven't heard of it, therefore it can't be notable. The company in question sold somewhere near 100,000 copies of TML Pascal, but since they weren't a public company they were not required to give public statements concerning their revenue, so it is difficult to "prove" these numbers. However the evidence I've given so far should easily be enough. I'm sure there are many more articles on TML Pascal, but as I said before this company was around before very much digital information was retained, so it is much more difficult to find the records.

If you don't put the content back up after this, I am requesting a second opinion whether the content I have provided gives evidence that the product (and therefore the company that produced it) meets Wikipedia's guidelines. I believe I have met the guidelines, and I'm beginning to believe you are now too biased to ever add it, because you can't admit that there might be a "notable" company you don't know about.

---

Ok, Thanks for finally agreeing. I don't think it should have taken such effort to get here, but I guess that doesn't really matter now. At least you were continually responsive, for which I thank you. I'm too busy at work right now to repost the article with needed additions, but I'll do that this weekend. Regards.

Index Copernicus

[edit]

Hi there, thanks for your concern as regards the Index Copernicus article. I do not understand why you deleted it. Index Copernicus is an international instution aimed at furthering science. It is not a company etc. Index Copernicus is notable because it provides scientists with an objective and useful tool for the amelioration of communication among the scientific community and, generally, is a fantastic idea. Nothing like this exists; a place where journals can be evaluated, scientist credibility can be evaluated and collaborations can be started. This is revolutionary for science. Please reconsider your speedy deletion. Thanks! Whiskey in the Jar 15:06, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PKK/Turkey

[edit]

I tried Casualties of the Turkey-PKK conflict (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) for name of the article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_Turkish-Kurdish_conflict. Now, OttomanRefence is trying.

Khoikhoi did not accept it. Khoi said that Uğur Kaymaz was a civilian Kurdish, he was killed, so it is not only PKK-Turkey conflict. But, current name Turkish-Kurdish conflict is wrong because that there is no ethnic conflict. There is a problem related to ethnic Kurdish problem but it is not directly an ethnic war. I asked the naming dispute to R.Cakır, and he said that "I think that "Turkish-Kurdish conflict" is not a good idea because it refers to some kind of civil war that does not exist yet. I would prefer 'Kurdish question (or problem, or maybe conflict) in Turkey' or Turkey's Kurdish question'. But, Khoi did not like the name because according to him not only Kurds are responsible for the conflict. He said that he would think about the name, but no suggestions came form him! I searched on the Internet, and found an article by Koç University academician Somer: "People seem to instinctively understand and fear that this time such a path may lead to a Turkish-Kurdish conflict, i.e. not only a conflict between the state and Kurdish separatists as the conflict previously was, but which involves ordinary people". from http://www.turkishpolicy.com/default.asp?show=fall_2006_somer That would be another nominee for the name: "Turkish state- Kurdish separatists conflict". Is "Turkish state - Kurdish separatists conflict" good?
If there is a voting, we should make a consensus. Any name other than current name is more suitable. But, at the last vote, people who are against the current name gave votes to different names so article's name did not change, since there were no consensus. We should refrain from this in a survey.Paparokan 11:57, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:TheRaincoats.jpg

[edit]

I've removed it from my userpage as per requested - didn't realise it violated fair use (on closer reflection, that's obvious). My intended use for it is to expand the two currently sub-stub articles on Gina Birch and Ana da Silva into valid bios; because this photograph shows both of them clearly, it seemed easier than uploading two separate photos; it also serves a separate use in illustrating the article on The Raincoats which didn't have a band photo.

My intended expansions will focus on the way in which these two relatively obscure members of an extremely obscure 1970s band had a disproportionate effect on the image and style of 1990s singers such as Kurt Cobain and Kim Gordon, and consequently a knock-on effect on the subsequent style of 1990s fashion (a topic already touched on in the band's article, but more sensibly covered in the individual singers' articles, since it was specifically these two rather than the band as a whole that Cobain, in particular, cited as a influence). This is easily sourced, as Cobain in particular wrote quite a lot on the subject, and it is probably what the two are most notable for now. In this context of explaining their influence on fashion, I think the article needs an illustration; as I mentioned on the original upload, because the band split long before the advent of the internet I'm finding it impossible to locate confirmable press-kit photos. However, as the photo I've used is from a Myspace page on the band maintained by Birch, I am assuming they are happy for the photo to be available. If I can locate a usable truly public-domain photo, I'll obviously replace it with that.

I've replied here rather than on the image talk page etc, and apologies if it's not the correct place; as you can see from my edit history, images are my glaring wiki-weak spot; I've only uploaded a few images, of which most are incontrovertibly public-domain due to copyright expiry, and the remainder have almost all been deleted despite (in my eyes) being uploaded & sourced correctly (including one where I was the creator but an admin didn't believe me...)

Get back to me if there are any problems or you need further expansion/clarification — many thanksiridescenti (talk to me!) 14:10, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree re them still being alive - however, as it's not just to indicate what they look like, but what they looked like at a specific point (as obviously, Cobain, Sonic Youth etc were influenced by their image then rather than what they look like now), I think it's a fair use. As I say, there almost certainly are truly public domain pictures from this time somewhere and as soon as I - or anyone - can find one I'll remove this one, but because they're unlikely to be online (or at least, unlikely to be online with supporting documentation) due to their pre-internet status, I'm having trouble finding any. I'm going to try to contact Birch via her myspace page and see if I can either get formal permission to use to photo or locate a true public domain photo via heriridescenti (talk to me!) 14:22, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've contacted Gina Birch to try to get either a formal release of this photo or a source for genuine public domain photos of the pair - if & when I get a reply I'll update the tag or speedy this as appropriate. BTW the other two copyright images on my userpage are valid - one is up in accordance with a licence from the holder (Tweenet) and one is with permission of the holder - I just couldn't find an appropriate place to put a "reproduced by permission" markeriridescenti (talk to me!) 16:39, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Have taken them down - didn't realise that "use with consent" violated GFDL (on thinking about the way content's mirrored elsewhere, it's obvious). Have also removed the Raincoats image from all pages for the moment - I've managed to get hold of one of the band members who has promised to dig up genuine public domain photos, so will wait for those. As the current one's now replaceable, I've tagged it for speedy deletioniridescenti (talk to me!) 13:53, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
