Re:External Link on Archie Fire Lame Deer[edit]

It looked like a spam link. Sorry if there was any mix up. Gwandoya Talk 20:18, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Embedded citations[edit]

(Re: Anne_S._K._Brown_Military_Collection.) Thanks for your note. You may be looking for the policy at Wikipedia:Embedded citations, and I note that the first paragraph indicates that these are not recommended. I believe this is because web pages come and go with time, and the link may be broken in a few years when a new reader comes across it. (Web page citations should always contain a date of their having been accessed so that someone can use the Wayback Machine if required.) Like you, I can't quite put my finger on the section of the style manual that suggests that the citations should be formatted as part of an "External links" section, but I have never seen the bold heading within a lede formatted as I see this editor has done (in the first sentence of the article). If I were you, I'd go ahead and change the links to be part of an "External links" section, and re-format the lede to match the common Wikipedia style, but I'd also leave an explanatory note on the talk page of the article and perhaps on the new editor's talk page to say what I'm doing and why. If you want further help with this, let me know, and I'll be happy to explain further to the other editor if you wish. Accounting4Taste:talk 18:33, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deltion[edit]

[1] This isn't nonsense, even if it's junk, try {{prod}} to propose deletion instead. For the speedy deletion criteria, see WP:SD

Cheers, WilyD 19:18, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please also note that when placing Speedy deletion notices on articles, it is good form to inform the user by copying and pasting the template from the notice on their talk page. It also helps prevent users from simply removing the speedy deletion notice as otherwise they might not know what to do. Thank you.♦Tangerines♦·Talk 02:49, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - just to let you know that I've changed the speedy deletion tag you put on the above page. Although it obviously needs to be deleted, the article does assert notability - despite being an obvious hoax. Think of it this way - if the article was about a real person, it would be notable. As it's not about a real person (or, the information is completely fabricated), I've tagged this as vandalism. Booglamay (talk) 23:21, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy Deletion of Dougie Anderson[edit]

Hi. I've declined this speedy deletion. There is sufficent context to understand what the article is about. Pedro :  Chat  10:24, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hiya. In this instance I have declined an A1 speedy of the above. Pedro :  Chat  12:29, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Extra Joss deletion[edit]

Hi,

I have no relationship with Extra Joss, and I had no meaning to advertise it. I just wanted to include Extra Joss as one of the world brand of energy drink.

Same in indonesian wikipedia, I have made 3 entries about energy drink brand, but since only extra joss is exported or sold outside Indonesia, then I only made Extra Joss in English wiki. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeffsboxing (talkcontribs) 02:41, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Sorry for the mix-up. The general readability of the article felt like it was an advertisement, which prompted me to propose it for deletion. If you plan on re-submitting, make sure you modify the wording to make the article notable. Good luck! Jb0007 (talk) 13:27, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you for the kind request, but I'm quite certain I have never been in your nose. Please feel free to stop by anytime though, would love to chat when you get a few minutes.  ;) Jb0007 (talk) 17:12, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ref tags[edit]

I am aware that it displays the tag. The reflist tag appears to have changed today. I can't speak on the wording, but I believe the motive was to encourage unreferenced articles to include references.Londo06 17:57, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}}

I am trying to understand what has happened with the article Stacie Hayez. After 2 moves, and a claim of duplicate article, I can't figure out where this article stands. Thanks. Jb0007 (talk) 21:53, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Somebody moved it to a standardised title, realised they had made a typo, and moved it again to a correct spelling. It's at Stacie Hayez now...... Dendodge.TalkHelp 22:12, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your help man. I appreciate it. Carter | Talk to me 12:17, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Cooling denier[edit]

Hello, Jb0007. Thanks for keeping an eye out on article quality. I'm dropping you a note to let you know that I have removed the speedy deletion template that you placed on Cooling denier because the article does not seem to fit the speedy deletion criterion. WP:CSD#G1 is for articles that are literally nonsense. I would tend to agree that this is not encyclopedic and have asked the creator to consider that. Please consider other means for addressing ongoing concerns. Feel free to let me know at my talk page if you'd like to discuss this further. Thanks. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
