Welcome!

Hello, Jhm 427, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits to the page Dana White have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. As well, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or you can type {{helpme}} on your user page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  220 of Borg 09:45, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

[edit]

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. 220 of Borg 10:01, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your MMA edits

[edit]

Hello! Thanks for the work you're putting into MMA articles. One thing you might want to review is the MMA project page at WP:MMA. It gives instructions about how we are to format MMA articles and the kind of information we are to include and how to include it. Specifically we are not to put fighting styles in the infoboxes of MMA fighter. Here's the text "Do not use the style parameter from the "Infobox martial artist" in MMA biographical articles. Modern MMA requires training several fighting styles, which means that no mixed martial artist uses a single style when fighting. References that describe martial arts ranks (i.e. black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) and/or martial arts training (i.e. training boxing) are not evidence of fighting style and are not valid to justify a fighting style in an infobox. Do not add your own interpretation of a fighting style." If you have any questions or comments you can reach me on my talk page. Thanks. SQGibbon (talk) 16:55, 10 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Roy Nelson (fighter). There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. Again, please read WP:MMA. If you disagree with the consensus view on this then please start up a discussion at WT:MMA and achieve a new consensus. In the meantime please respect the consensus view of your fellow MMA editors. Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Dan Henderson. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 02:23, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Michael Moorer.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 02:24, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Dan Henderson, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. You have been blocked for your behavior before including ignoring the community consensus at how infoboxes are to be treated. You will be blocked again if you keep this up SQGibbon (talk) 03:49, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Tito Ortiz. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. SQGibbon (talk) 03:51, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at Forrest Griffin, you may be blocked from editing. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. SQGibbon (talk) 03:51, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your last warning. The next time you make disruptive edits to Wikipedia contrary to the Manual of Style, as you did at Tim Boetsch, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. SQGibbon (talk) 03:52, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Once again, please stop ignoring the consensus view of your fellow MMA editors on Wikipedia. If you disagree with the decision that was made the best thing to do is to start up a new discussion at WT:MMA and try to achieve a new consensus. In the meantime please respect the consensus achieved by your fellow MMA editors and do not fill in the style parameter in MMA infoboxes. If you have any questions or comments you can reach me at my talk page. Thanks. SQGibbon (talk) 03:56, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
