The article 25 Random Things About Me (game) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Copyright problems with File:Head-of-the-Class.jpg
[edit]Hello. Concerning your contribution, File:Head-of-the-Class.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). As a copyright violation, File:Head-of-the-Class.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. File:Head-of-the-Class.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.
If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at File talk:Head-of-the-Class.jpg and send an email with the message to permissions-enwikimedia.org. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) and CC-BY-SA, under CC-BY-SA, or released into the public domain leave a note at File talk:Head-of-the-Class.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on File talk:Head-of-the-Class.jpg.
However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 13:35, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:King me.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:King me.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 04:50, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

OTRS
[edit]In regards the images that you have uploaded, the only way to assure that there will not be problems with copyright concerns is to file a "claim" through the WP:OTRS system (follow the link for details on details). This verification system should assure that there won't be additional "tagging" or questioning of the images since the copyright status will be confirmed. Skier Dude (talk) 18:09, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
- In re your message on my talk page - did you follow my previous instructions on using the WP:OTRS? If so, the OTRS persons have not yet gotten to it on the queue; once they do they can restore the image with the correct permission ticket #. If you have sent the appropriate e-mails w/out a response, you may wish to re-contact them. Without that permission, the images will be deleted. Skier Dude (talk) 00:56, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Winning Moves, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. --Drm310 (talk) 04:54, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Fish, Fish, Squish!
[edit]The article Fish, Fish, Squish! has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No evidence of notability beyond a press release.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Richfife (talk) 16:46, 25 May 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Hello Joesequino. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Joesequino. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Joesequino|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. MrOllie (talk) 19:08, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Joesequino, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Joesequino|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. MrOllie (talk) 19:25, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
You still have not adequately responded or taken action to the inquiry regarding your appearance as an undisclosed paid editor. If you make any additional edits without complying you may be blocked from editing. MrOllie (talk) 20:10, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- The edit summary describing this change to the Winning Moves Wikipedia page confirms that Joesequino is an employee of the Winning Moves company. Quote: "I deleted some products that are now out of our line and added our new games. I also added ® and ™ where needed'. I share the concern identified by MrOllie, and came to this page to express similar sentiments. Gregorytopov (talk) 06:32, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
- In addition, Joe Sequino is identified as the Vice President of Marketing at Winning Moves at many sources. Gregorytopov (talk) 06:36, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
MrOllie (talk) I'm not sure if I'm doing this correctly - hopefully MrOllie (talk) sees this message. I've never used this Talk page before. I was not aware that I should've identified myself as an employee of Winning Moves Games USA prior to editing. I am happy to do so. I've read what I think are directions -but I found it extremely confusing. Where and how exactly should I state that I'm an employee editing our company page? Thank you. I should've included Gregorytopov (talk) too. Sorry! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:188:c401:7f80:5433:459e:ff29:d35b (talk • contribs)
