Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Hi @KylieTastic
thanks for the feedback. I am eager to get these fixed and published.
Are all the sources unreliable?
thank you again for your help Johnbowman0077 (talk) 21:19, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
"Articles generally require significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the topic" (see WP:42). Interviews and social media post are not independent reliable sources. Also most of the content is unsourced KylieTastic (talk) 21:23, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'd prefer to respond to your email here; I'm not entirely sure what your intended result was for your edits at Spencer Charnas. Was your goal to just delete the redirect (in which case searching "Spencer Charnas" would take you to internal search results) or to replace it with a new article? signed, Rosguill talk 19:01, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

hi
my intent was to create a new article /wiki/spencer_charnas
but it was getting redirected to /wiki/ice_nine_kills
i thought i had followed the guidelines for redirection. I may have missed a step, what can i do to fix it? thanks for your time and help Johnbowman0077 (talk) 19:10, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Got it--I would say that the issue was that you simultaneously put a WP:RFD template on the article at the same time as creating the new article. You should have just created the article without worrying about RFD. You can go ahead and recreate the article, but be aware of WP:BANDMEMBER--unless you can demonstrate that Charnas meets WP:GNG independent of their work in Ice Nine Kills (i.e., identify multiple independent, secondary sources that discuss Charnas's work *outside* Ice Nine Kills in significant detail), a separate article will not be kept. signed, Rosguill talk 19:22, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much!!! i'll get it fixed = ) Johnbowman0077 (talk) 21:09, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And Johnbowman, use talk pages for communication in preference to email. It keeps the communication public and transparent. Jay 💬 05:38, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
