Editing Jessie episodes

Opinion about Season Pages Needed

Am I wrong about this? I've had discussions before about Splitting up "List of episode" pages before and they've always ened up saying "It's too early to split." However A user Sandstein has created a Season page already and linked the "List of episode" pages to the "Episodes" section of (Book 1) of the Legend of Korra so a "list of episodes" does not really have a page. They think there's enough info on the (Book 1) page to keep it but the "List of episodes" page was fine before and it's too early for it to be split. They also said that once we get (Book 2) we can re-create the list of episodes page where it tranluces (spelling?) from the season page to the list of episodes page where all you see is the episodes. Everytime I had a suggestion to split, the answer was that "it's too early" and in the case, it is. Just look at "Suits", "White Collar," "Good Luck Charlie," etc pages and they are not split as of yet. - Alec (talk) 16:07, 18 July 2012 (UTC)

Smash season pages

Hi, Kevinbrogers. I reverted your changes to List of Smash episodes because I believe splitting the article into multiple season pages is perfectly reasonable given there are multiple seasons. Individual season pages allow for greater detail into production, cast changes, filming, etc., which of course vary year-to-year. In fact, on the article's talk page, other editors expressed a similar feeling: see Talk:List of Smash episodes#Season Pages for the discussion. Changing year ranges

Please note that MOS:YEAR doesn't acually prevent yyyy/yy year ranges, it just allows for not using that format in some cases. Originally, MOS:YEAR in fact required the yyyy/yy format, which is why an editor went through hundreds of articles changing them. That said, I don't really have an issue with your changes except that you need to change the series overview tables as well as the headings to avoid breaking links as you've done in several articles. It would be a good idea to go back over the articles that you've changed to fix the problems that you've introduced. --AussieLegend (✉) 20:42, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

I wondered why they'd all been changed. I changed them (at least, some of them) back because, to me, the mixture of slashes and dashes on some articles looked a bit ridiculous. I'll go back and fix those links though. Thanks for pointing that out. Kevinbrogers (talk) 20:44, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

I think we should stick with using slashes for periods less than one year. Lots of articles were changed to to that and both MOS:YEAR and MOS:SLASH support that usage. Geraldo Perez (talk) 20:58, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

Royal Pains

Kev, I noticed you reverted the addition of Ben Shenkman to the main cast as unsourced, but it is sourced. I double checked it, and while TVLine isn't the most reliable source in town, it does indicate Shenkman is main cast now, which makes sense given his story line at the end of last season. iCarly & Victorious being shot back-to-back

Kevin, this is something that's been known about since December. When the new year was going to hit he's been reporting how he was going to shoot the shows at the same time as the new season of iCarly was going to be starting in January. Here's a blog entry from December where he flat out states this.[2] To make things a bit easier for you to look, you can find it under the picture of the Victorious cast promoting the "Breakfast Bunch" episode. But here's what it says I quote:

As for now, I'm staying VERY BUSY because I'm in production on both iCarly and Victorious at the same time. It's been really interesting so far. I'm spending part of my days in a room with the iCarly writers, coming up with new episodes… and then I spend the other part of my day in a room with the Victorious writers, doing the same.

And soon, I'll be filming them both at the same time. It's going to be a wild and wacky (and BUSY) 2012, but I'm really looking forward to all the action and comedy.

I linked a twitter comment where Dan also implies how he shoots the episodes at the same time and I think what I have here is also enough as a source to use. Also the casts of both shows have been commenting about new episodes being filmed these past four months but I didn't want to spend a bunch of time hunting for them so I was only going to find Dan's source here. question regarding broadcast section of wiki tv pages.

have a question regarding broadcast sections of wiki tv pages. it is wiki policy that the only "listed" broadcast airs (ie what channels in which countries) should be English only, if said tv series is produced in English countries? ie if a tv series airs in Russia, latavia, spain and is dubbed in those countries languages, they shouldn't be listed in the broadcast sections? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.206.166.109 (talk • contribs)

I usually don't deal with Broadcast sections, as I live in the U.S. and really only edit American TV shows. Consequently, I wouldn't even know where to begin when it came to editing those sections. However, I was able to find this in Wikipedia's manual of style (found on this page): "Apart from the channel of origin for the series, editors are encouraged to ... detail English-speaking countries that the series appears through prose form." I don't know the exact reasoning behind this, but my guess is that English was chosen because this is the English Wikipedia, and listing other languages would be irrelevant for most users.
