Elizabeth Mitchell image

The Luke Ford image is back on her page again? I'm surprised... you're not the only one who thinks it sucks. Take a look on the Talk page for the article; half the comments on it are specifically about the pic. In terms of using a different image, the rules are different here than they are on Lostpedia; specifically, image use is governed by Wikipedia's fair use policy. The key element in this case is clause 12 of the unacceptable use section:

  • "Pictures of people still alive, groups still active, and buildings still standing; provided that taking a new free picture as a replacement (which is almost always considered possible) would serve the same encyclopedic purpose as the non-free image."

So the only way we can replace that "awful" image would be with a different free-use one. And the image you have from IMDB would not count as free-use. Any more questions? Tabercil (talk) 21:06, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
