File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Logo-PTM.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. — neuro(talk) 23:23, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Isms-logo.gif)

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:Isms-logo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 01:51, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry that this rude and improper message appears here. I have asked this young editor to consider apologizing to you.  Kiefer.Wolfowitz 01:01, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The editor Electric Eye, who put the lead template on your page, has been blocked.
I am very sorry that you have run across immature editors leaving rude messages, on your first appearance on WP. Best regards,  Kiefer.Wolfowitz 01:06, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Rude templating

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Erik Gustav Elfing, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.  Adam mugliston  Talk  16:48, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please accept my apologies for this unfortunate and unwelcoming situation. I am still learning and I have misunderstood the Criteria for Speedy Deletion (WP:CSD). Please ignore the above message, that I have crossed out and don't worry, both the redirect and your article will remain and the speedy deletion tags have been removed. We, here on Wikipedia, would appreciate your help expanding the encylopaedia and I hope you will not decide to leave Wikipedia, because of this.  Adam mugliston  Talk  22:17, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia

[edit]

Thanks for starting the article on Gustav Elfving. I have added some sources and expanded its content, and I hope that you may also enjoy to continue expanding the article.

I recognize that the picture is a standard picture, which has been used many times. I hope that we may find a source for it in the public domain.

Finally, I was shocked to see that your article was templated with a speedy deletion tag, which was very improper. I have suggested that Adam Mugliston apologize to you, for templating your talk page also, which is considered to be a very rude thing to do, especially to a new editor. Please consider his age and inexperience, and don't be upset. He's trying to protect WP against vandals, etc., and his intentions were good.

Best regards, Mvh,  Kiefer.Wolfowitz 01:00, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
