Al Masdar
[edit]Hi The source is unreliable and the source promotes Houthis claims who are not confirmed by independent sources. --Panam2014 (talk) 13:47, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
Hello @Panam2014.
While Al-Masdar can be unreliable on controversial topics such as massacres, chemical weapons, pro-government demonstrations, conspiracy theories, It was established in this RFC that is was allowed for non-controversial information (not disputed, and not likely to be disputed, such as territorial changes, commanders, troop movements). I reverted your edits on Taiz campaign (2015–present) because you removed non-controversial information about territorial changes and battles, Which are allowed. Koopinator (talk) 14:28, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
- It is not an argument. The RfC is old and Masdar's reliability is different for Syria and Yemen. In Yemen, there are no reporters and the informations comes from belligerents. In Syria, there are reporters in the fightenning areas. Territorial changes are controversial because it is Houthis claims. --Panam2014 (talk) 14:58, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
- Wait, If all information on the Yemeni Civil War comes from belligerents, Shouldn't Pro-Houthi sources be allowed? Koopinator (talk) 15:15, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
- Reliables sources doesn't consider Houthis claims as reliables and only pro Houthis sources promote their views. --Panam2014 (talk) 15:52, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
- Do you have any sources that do not consider Houthi claims reliable? Koopinator (talk) 17:43, 29 August 2018 (UTC)

reliables sources does not talk about Houthi claim, it is the proof that it is not reliables. --Panam2014 (talk) 18:05, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
- If i understand you correctly, What you mean is that Al-Masdar news is unreliable because it is Pro-Houthi, Pro-Houthi claims are unreliable because they aren't supported by reliable sources, And Al-Masdar isn't a reliable source because it is Pro-Houthi. Koopinator (talk) 19:06, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
- No. Masdar is know as an unreliable source. Coalition and Houthis claims are not independent statements. And Masdar have no reporters in Yemen. --Panam2014 (talk) 19:20, 29 August 2018 (UTC)

Welcome to Milhist!
[edit]G'day Koopinator, and welcome to WikiProject Military history! I noticed your work on Petroleum Facilities Guard and wanted to say what a great job you're doing with it. I see you've already signed up for the Bugle, which is a great idea as it is an excellent way to get a feel for the project. Once you are happy with any article you've worked on, you can ask for a re-assessment of it at WP:MHAR, where you may also get some constructive feedback, often from others working in a similar area. You might also like to enter any such articles in our monthly article writing contest at WP:MILCON. If you have any questions about the project or about Milhist assessment processes, feel free to contact me on my talk page anytime. Cheers, Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 06:50, 10 October 2018 (UTC) for the project coordinators
Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. RonBot (talk) 21:52, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
An article you recently created, Bekeriyah, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. - @Boleyn: I haven't fully read the manual of style, But is there any guideline that enforces the addition of a references section? Personally, In think an entire section for only one reference would be redundant. But you're free to add one if you think it's warranted. Koopinator (talk) 16:18, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
Hi, Koopinator, good question. It's expected practice, e.g. in Help:Referencing for beginners#Before you start. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 16:49, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
