File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Jonathan Lacoste Headshot.jpeg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 03:05, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Lacostejebbit. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Jonathan Lacoste, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Jmertel23 (talk) 20:21, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello User:Jmertel123 -- I would love to help, but the links you provided do not necessarily address how to resolve the situation. Please advise what should be changed or deleted about this page.

Thank you,

Thanks for responding! Essentially, you should not make edits on an article about yourself or a family member. If you would like changes to be made to the article, you should request it on the article's talk page at Talk:Jonathan Lacoste. In addition, you should disclose your COI on that talk page - directions can be found here. Please let me know if I can help you with anything else! Jmertel23 (talk) 14:35, 30 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
