Nguyen[edit]

I think that the information you added to the Nguyen article regarding what Minh Mang's descendants should be named are irrelevant to the article and have removed it. DHN 19:04, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why not relevant ? Sorry, i am disagree with you. Hundred tousand Nguyễn Phúc have these Middle name. See also Father Buu Dong..Langtucodoc 19:08, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The article is about the surname Nguyen, not about the Nguyen dynasty. DHN 19:34, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
but it writes about Nguyen Phuc, too. And about hundred thousand Nguyễn Phúc have these Middle name, also it is worth about it to write. may i write it on the Middle name ? Langtucodoc 19:44, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The article briefly mentions the different Nguyens there are. Are all of Minh Mang's descendants named according to this rule? Nevertheless, your additions need to be edited for clarity and style. DHN 22:25, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Are all of Minh Mang's descendants named according to this rule? <= the answer is YES. May you help me to edit my addition ? Langtucodoc 01:34, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Try this: Emperor Minh Mang wrote a poem specifying the middle names of all his descendants: .... The poem should be written in proper Vietnamese with diacritics. DHN 02:30, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Imagined Ancestries Of Vietnamese Communism.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Imagined Ancestries Of Vietnamese Communism.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 16:51, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vietnam WikiProject[edit]

I am told you might be interested in a separate WikiProject for Vietnam, like Wikipedia:WikiProject Southeast Asia, I have posted the proposal at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Council/Proposals#Vietnam_WikiProject Chris 04:15, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Lightingsound.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Lightingsound.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:19, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Asia Entertainment[edit]

Asia Entertainment, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. Asian name confusion[edit]

Dear Editor, since you created the category on Asian American scientists, maybe you can help to untangle a confusion. For example, Nai-Chang Yeh, should be placed in the Y group instead of N (surname= Yeh). Can you help to straighten out? Thanks. Kgwu24 (talk) 21:23, 18 November 2008 (UTC)Kgwu24[reply]

Deleted Asian American scientists category by legobot[edit]

Please look at that and see if there is a way to restore that category which is useful & visited by many. EJohn59 (talk) 10:29, 1 December 2008 (UTC)EJohn59[reply]

This is to inform you that Category:Victims of Communist repressions in China, which you created, is being discussed at Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2009_April_30#Victims_of_political_repression. Your input is welcome.--Aervanath (talk) 06:32, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Langtucodoc! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 942 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Doan Van Toai - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Trinh Xuan Thuan - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. In Xuong Nguyen-Huu, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Vietnamese (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:26, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thai basil[edit]

Thanks for contributing to List of basil cultivars. I've never see Thai basil called Asian basil in any of the literature. Could you please provide a reference confirming this nomenclature? Thanks. Waitak (talk) 22:05, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm well aware of how to use Google, thanks. Thai basil has 1,330,000 hits. Asian basil has 71,000. If you can find a reliable source that indicates that Asian basil is the more common name, then we can revert back the changes. Otherwise, we'll leave it as it stood. Waitak (talk) 03:42, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've moved the article back to Thai basil. Please use the WP:RM process to start a discussion about it if you really think it should be at Asian basil but I suggest it will be a difficult argument to make since WP:COMMONNAME supports Thai basil. --Born2cycle (talk) 04:47, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Hair straightening, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page OSHA (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
