Speedy deletion of Lo Hwei Yen[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on Lo Hwei Yen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Bettia (rawr!) 15:13, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Notability of Lo Hwei Yen[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on Lo Hwei Yen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Crusio (talk) 18:26, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

  • I have seen your remark on the talk page of this article. Thanks for listing the articles on the other victims. See WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. As soon as I have time, I'll have a look at those articles, too, and propose them for deletion if there is nothing else that makes them notable besides being a victim of this horrible crime. WP is not a list of obituaties and being involved in one event only is explicitly excluded from being a reason for notability. --Crusio (talk) 10:24, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Various edits including yours have been reverted - to see why, please read WP:RECENTISM. Thanks. I would have done that myself if someone hadn't beaten me to it. Nothing personal so don't feel you've done anything wrong. Dougweller (talk) 08:20, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

Fatih Terim[edit]

Please stop linking nations in place of the national football teams. I fixed Armenia. Would you please fix the others? Also, once a link has been added, adding the same link again is considered a WP:REPEATLINK and should not be added again. Walter Görlitz (talk) 16:58, 21 October 2013 (UTC)

Never mind. I fixed them. You might want to try using Show preview when working on a paragraph rather than making four changes in short succession. Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:14, 22 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
