Cycling teams and flags

[edit]

I do indeed admire your assiduous supply of race results, and it would be good to see you taking part in the discussions at WP:CYCLING, but anything I have done in relation to teams' national flags was merely acting according to consensus as discussed here. Was it any edit in particular that you were offended by? Please note that new threads in Users' talk pages are usually started at the bottom of the page. Kevin McE (talk) 15:29, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I've made further comment about flags next to teams at WikiProject Cycling#Teams' nationality and would welcome your input. Thanks, SeveroTC 12:02, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Flags and templates

[edit]

Hey, can you make sure to use {{flagathlete}} and not just {{flagicon}} on pages such as 2008-2009 UCI Europe Tour? Wikipedia:Manual of Style (icons)#Accompany flags with country names states that, well, flags need to be accompanied by the country's name, for accessibility purposes. And try to also use {{ct}} when giving team names. This guarantees that team names actually link to the correct page. For example, if you were to just link to, say, Française des Jeux, you'd actually be linking to a disambiguation page and not Française des Jeux (cycling team). Thanks. Hi, LegendK, and thanks for the article. Anyway, there were quite a lot of things to fix (diff) so I ask you to verify your sources in the future more carefully. Take care, --Eleassar my talk 07:13, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Paris-Troyes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. mono (talk) 00:59, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Tour of Austria. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. - 220.101 talk\Contribs 17:18, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of 2011 National Cycling Championships, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: 2010 national cycling championships. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 13:41, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've simply created the new page for the National Cycling Championships of 2011. There's no error or duplication! LegendK (talk) 14:17, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary for your edits. I think it's not necessary, since nobody in the previous years articles did it. Do we need thousands of references? We can simply add a link to a site (for example the UCI site) where we can found the complete list of the champions. LegendK (talk) 14:54, 4 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Dukla Trenčín-Trek has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not appear to pass the SNG WP:NCYC. Major Results section is unsourced so does not lend credibility.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
