Thank you for coming to WikiWorlds Fair! Claim your complimentary shirt!

[edit]
Thank you for attending! Wiki World's Fair - Your complimentary shirt!
Thank you User:Legoktm for attending the Wiki World's Fair at the Queens Museum in August! A round of applause to all who attended, socialized, gave lightning talks, edited, listened, and toured the Panorama of the City of New York. Thank you to Xavier Robles-Armas and the Queens Museum for having us. For the first time in Wikimania history, we held a T-shirt design contest during the event to generate a shirt for the conference. We are excited to announce we have produced a shirt with the winning design by User:Bagelpigeon. As previously announced, the shirts will be given, free of charge, to those that attended the conference. You are a confirmed attendee and now is your chance to claim your free shirt! If you want a shirt, we need your size!

What size are you? Please fill out this Google form or email: Wil@Wikimedianyc.org (One "L") Once we have everyone's size and we will order them and distribute them at local meet-ups or via mail. If you are out of town, please include your mailing address. The shirts will be available Feb or later.

(User:Pharos, seen here wearing a size large)

Please let us know by January 15 or come to Wikipedia Day 2023 at the Jefferson Market Library and let us know in person!

Hello, Legoktm,

HaleBot used to issue this report daily at 01:00 UTC but now it is issued at all hours of the day and what, for me, is early, early morning. Is there any way to get it back on its old schedule? I typically use the link to the new Empty Categories listing but with this time lag that is currently going on, I thought I'd check the old report and noticed that is is coming out at random times of the day and night.

Hope all is well with you this summer. Liz Read! Talk! 02:57, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lots of HaleBot reports now run at unusual times, often 25 or 26 hours after the last run. I guess that when the "normal" time is reached, there is a large number of heavy tasks ongoing and so the run is automatically delayed to a less-busy timeslot. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 07:44, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Unexpired TFA Protector Bot protection

[edit]

Hi Legoktm - your TFA Protector Bot protected the page European rock pipit with "expires 00:00, 29 July 2023" – for whatever reason, the protection is still in place; I'm not sure it's still needed? Thanks in advance for checking - MPF (talk) 19:43, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The protection log says the bot indefinitely protected the page, which I assume was by accident. Aydoh8[contribs] 00:00, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Aydoh8: The log that you provided has two entries, the earlier one resulting from a page move. If you go to the old title and look at the prot log for that page, it shows that the indef semi-prot was already in place. You can find the same information in the page history, if you go far enough back (it's this entry). Therefore, all that TFA Protector Bot did was apply a fixed-duration full move protection in addition to the existing indefinite edit semi-protection. Edit prots and move prots may have different levels and different durations: they are two independent settings. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 06:40, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@MPF: The move protection - which is TFA Protector Bot applied to the page - did indeed expire at the set time. The page is no longer move-protected. There are some parser functions which may be used to check the current protection:
  • {{PROTECTIONLEVEL:edit|European rock pipit}} → autoconfirmed
  • {{PROTECTIONEXPIRY:edit|European rock pipit}} → infinity
  • {{PROTECTIONLEVEL:move|European rock pipit}}
  • {{PROTECTIONEXPIRY:move|European rock pipit}} → infinity
For the third one, the blank denotes no protection.
If you are not an admin, you can also check whether a page has full move protection by clicking the "Move" tab and seeing if you get the normal form, or a notice telling you that you do not have permission. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 06:40, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Aydoh8 and Redrose64: - thanks! It doesn't matter to me, being autoconfirmed I was able to do the editing I wanted to do (and it doesn't need any moves), I was just a bit surprised to see the padlock at the top of the page, for a relatively low-importance topic - MPF (talk) 10:52, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

https://prosesize.toolforge.org/ Is down. Galobtter (talk) 15:05, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Huh, not sure what happened (no clue in the logs), I've restarted it. Legoktm (talk) 03:46, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
