Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia with this username. This is because your username, Funovator 07, does not meet our username policy.
Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.
A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this notice, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:44, 1 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Comment[edit]

Normally a spam user name would be blocked without allowing a new account to be formed. Since you have declared your COI, I haven't done that, but you aren't allowed to edit on behalf of a company, so if you attempt to write about your comapny again, I'll change it to a hard block Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:47, 1 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

@Jimfbleak: @Huon: this user created Funovation shortly after getting unblocked (as well as their name change request) - I tagged it as A7 and only just saw this comment. Reblock? IffyChat -- 23:20, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
For now I have deleted the article (which was a single line without sources) but won't re-block. Leigh33, you're aware of the draft process, and if you intend to write about a company regarding which you have a conflict of interest, I'd strongly advise you to create a draft and to submit it for a review by an experienced editor instead of creating a live page yourself. You may also want to consider the possibility that the company simply isn't notable enough to be the subject of an encyclopedia article. Huon (talk) 00:37, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Funovation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Reblock[edit]

Iffy, thanks. My inclination is to block again since this account clearly has no other purpose than to promote the company and could be blocked as spam-only or editing on behalf of a company, both of which are forbidden. However, Huon has clearly seen the new article, since he deleted it, and has not re-blocked, so I'm reluctant to take a contradictory action. I'm in trouble elsewhere for trying to slap down a paid editor who has taken the view that since they have declared they can post what they like, so I'll leave it to Huon Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:46, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
