Biblical Dates[edit]

Biblical dates before about the time of David are hotly disputed in mainstream scholarship. Please don't add dates for human lifespans to these sorts of articles unless you have a reliable source and that you're being careful to make sure that you cite the source and stick to what it says. You are making changes to birth/death dates is a huge number of biographical articles without sources or explanation. It is possible that all of the changes are correct. However, you will need to start using edit summaries and/or citing sources for your changes. For reasons I cannot begin to understand or explain, we have vandals who make random changes throughout the project and we cannot easily figure out if your edits are constructive or not unless you explain your changes.

If you need help figuring out how to cite sources or add edit summaries, please ask here. If you continue without doing so, I will begin reverting your edits.
