Conflict of interest at Whitehawk F.C.?
[edit]Since you're holding yourself out as the creator of the flag used by a supporters group of Whitehawk F.C., does that mean you have a conflict of interest with the supporters group and the club overall? —C.Fred (talk) 01:18, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

Hello C.Fred. Hope you're well. I did create the flag and I'm a fan of the club, but I have no financial interests related to them just being someone that comes along to watches the games. Meanwhile, the 'Ultras' have no monetary worth so there's nothing to be gained on that. The only money that goes around is spent individually on stickers, flags, etc. The group holds no money itself.
All of the edits I've made to the page have been solely factual and correctly citedm so I don't think there's an issue around conflict of interest here. Thanks for getting in touch. - TheLionAndTheUnicorn
- There doesn't have to be a financial interest for a conflict of interest to exist. If you're connected to the Ultras and adding content to the article about them, then the conflict of interest rules apply, at least to that section of the article.
- One other note regarding financial interest: by uploading the flag under a free license, you have effectively given it away for anybody else to use, even for commercial purposes. —C.Fred (talk) 18:54, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
- Hey C.Fred. Ah, yea, sorry, you're right. I will leave it up to you as to whether the details are kept in. I've used unbiased citations and it's all factual information, but I understand if you'd rather remove. Thanks for the heads up on the image. To be honest, I would be very surprised if there was any money to be made from the Whitehawk Ultras, ha. Will edit nonetheless to avoid anyone taking the mick in the future. Cheers, TheLionAndTheUnicorn.
