Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Isalo National Park, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Dracaena (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 14:00, 20 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks and some suggestions about plant articles

[edit]

Hello LoJallen, thank you for creating plant articles, there are a lot of plants out there and not that many WP volunteers. May I suggest however that you have a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Plants/Template for some structuring notes and perhaps some ways of expanding the articles you create. In particular I recommend that you include the taxonbar (Template:Taxonbar). Why, it helps people chase more info on the taxa. When I create a plant page I usually follow the procedure: check POWO for validity, check WP if page already exists, if more than a stub, move on, stub or no page, work in sandbox, info from POWO, wikidata, then info from taxonbar sites, then go to Google Scholar, type in "botanical name" and mine the literature available for stuff. Why Scholar, scientific peer reviewed stuff, some of which is freely available. I just did Buchanania macrocarpa, if you want to see an example. Oh yeah, of course, you don't have to any of this stuff, but I see that you are including speciesbox, and descriptions from reputable sources, so why not give the readers a bit more. Again thank you for making WP a better thing, good luck. Brunswicknic (talk) 11:27, 29 March 2021 (UTC) p.s. Wikidata may have pictures, which everyone loves.[reply]
