User talk:MK10 DON
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, MK10 DON, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}}
before the question. Again, welcome! Ian.thomson (talk) 02:15, 25 May 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Milton Keynes Dons F.C. have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Mattythewhite (talk) 23:30, 24 May 2017 (UTC)
Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Milton Keynes Dons F.C.. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 23:36, 24 May 2017 (UTC)
Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Milton Keynes Dons F.C.. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Mattythewhite (talk) 00:14, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
Regarding your Dispute resolution noticeboard report
[edit]Mattythewhite has not "turned off access to his talk page," it is completely open. Perhaps you experienced an error on your end in trying to post a message there and should have tried again? I see that you have not left a message at Talk:Milton Keynes Dons F.C., where content disputes are meant to be handled.
You said that As an admin of a MK Dons supporters forum, I make it my job to know the unbiased truths
-- that does not work here. Wikipedia only paraphrases and summarizes professionally-published mainstream academic or journalistic sources, without editorial commentary or elaboration.
You said that you have taken great offence to the whole issue tonight
-- although not a rule, we usually discourage people from editing topics they are deeply invested in (even if they do not have a conflict of interest) because that emotional investment clouds their judgement. You are quite welcome to edit other topics.
You said that you are seriously thinking about not contributing again
-- although you are welcome here, whether or not you stay here is your responsibility.
You said that Wikipedia is meant to present facts
-- yes, and those facts are determined by published sources, not emotionally invested opinions of individuals with a conflict of interest. Ian.thomson (talk) 02:15, 25 May 2017 (UTC)

Adding a number to a team page
[edit]I have been trying to correct the squad numbers on mk thunder's wiki page. I added the number for julien baeumlin, but sam dean's number has disappeared, where am I going wrong? MK10 DON (talk) 22:32, 26 January 2020 (UTC)
- I assume that this is history now but if something like it arises again, nobody will notice your question unless you preface your issue using {{helpme}}. Better still, use the relevant 'template talk' for the template you are using. Best wishes. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 16:18, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
"Added content"
[edit]Hi, as I suspect you know, the MK Dons article suffers a lot from vandalism and canned edit notes like "added content" are typical red flags. So if you can give a summary of what you have changed, it would be helpful to the rest of us. Regards. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 15:58, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
I have added new squad number adjustment's to their player list. Also added some content on Callum Brittain's wiki page with regard's to his re-signing with MK Dons, along with citation from the club website.
I have tried to ensure all information is correct at the time of editing, I was not aware of how much depth I should go into so this has been very helpful to know, thank you. MK10 DON (talk) 01:49, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
