Hi Madsci!. Welcome. I noticed your creation of Dystimia as an apparent redirect for a misspelling/alternate name of Dysthymia. In order to do so properly, please see Wikipedia:Redirect. The long and short of it is that if you create a page with the incorrect name and type the text #REDIRECT [[Insert name of correct article]] this then makes that page an automatic redirect to the correct article. You can format this text by simply hitting the button "#R" from the editing buttons provided above the text field when you are in "edit this page" mode. License tagging for Image:BoDiddleyDebutAlbumCover.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:BoDiddleyDebutAlbumCover.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 18:05, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

The Splatter Effect (magazine)

[edit]

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article The Splatter Effect (magazine), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. A tag has been placed on Kristin King (musician), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tiptoety 21:36, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List of notable people who have taken psychedelic drugs

[edit]

Hi,

I noticed that on 27 July 07, you replaced a useful and somewhat sourced article List of notable people who have taken psychedelic drugs, with a much shorter, unsourced List of Internal Links. These last two are violations of Wikipedia policy and made the article subject to Afd.

I am very sad to see this page be gone, because I found it to be quite useful, and helps to educate people about the misinformation about psychedelics and their use.

Would you be willing to explain your actions on my talk page?

Thanks, Bill Huston (talk) 23:55, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Ugly American (magazine)

[edit]

Ugly American (magazine), an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Ugly American (magazine) satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ugly American (magazine) (2nd nomination) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Ugly American (magazine) during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. —[[Animum | talk]] 22:20, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Lovedolls Superstar (film)

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Lovedolls Superstar (film), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. The article Burnout (stereotype) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No references, a jumble of misleading information with no structure or rationale, simply unencyclopedic.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
