Inappropriate linking

[edit]

There were several problems with links that you added:

  1. Wrong links
  2. Malformed & misdirected
    • On Gazelle, you placed [[Northwestern Sub-Saharan Africa,]]. Not only is the target wikilink malformed with a comma, it would be pointed to a non-existent target. I corrected it to northwestern Sub-Saharan Africa, .
  3. Why not the whole article title?
  4. Unlikely red links
    • On Great Basin Murders, you wikilinked [[Barbara Kaye Williams]] without explanation. Barbara Kaye Williams has been unlinked since the creation of the article. There is no Wikidata item for her & this article is the only place that name is mentioned. This is unlikely to become a stand-alone article.
    • On Tachyporinae, you wikilinked [[crab-like rove]]. Since you seemed not to have noticed, the opening two sentences read Tachyporinae is a subfamily of rove beetle. Their common name is crab-like rove beetles. Wikilinking crab-like rove, if the redirect existed, would simply point back at the very same article where you placed the red link.

I have reviewed the rest of your edits. Those seem to generally be improvements. Please take care with the Wikilinks that you place so that they are as good a quality as the rest of your edits. Peaceray (talk) 17:35, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
