Govt. Degree College Sopore[edit]

Hi, What a wonderful article you're starting up! It looks like it will be quite helpful. I know it can be daunting to get to know all the guidelines, so I thought I'd pitch in a bit and explain what I did.

There are a couple of things to work out, though, and I'm happy to help:

  • Use of inline citations. See Wikipedia:Inline citations. Inline citations serve several functions: 1) allow the ability to verify information is not copyrighted information, 2) allow the article to grow with more information with other uses, and 3) show that the article was constructed reputably. I put in one inline citation as an example.
  • Order. There's an order that the sections go in - starting with the lead (or lede) that has a summary of the article.
  • Tags. When an article is tagged for something, the tags should remain until the issues are resolved. In this case, it's ensuring that the article is well-referenced with inline citations. You probably have seen articles that may not meet that criteria, which likely means that it just hasn't been reviewed yet. But the dedication to referenced material is something that could determine whether Wikipedia can live as it currently does. For instance, there was a political movement to get rid of Wikipedia because of content that gets added by volunteer contributors that is copyrighted.
  • Reliable sources. Wikipedia has guidelines for reliable sources and secondary sources. Facebook and blogs would be examples of non-reliable sources. The website for the subject of the article is an example of a primary (and not secondary) source.

I'm happy to help out, I do know that it can be daunting in the beginning. Feel free to add comments here, I will set the page to "watch" so I'll know when updates are made.--CaroleHenson (talk) 16:50, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding inline citations - what does this citation cover? Where should it go?

Hello and thanks for creating this article. It's been tagged for improvements for a while now. If you have the time, please look it over and see if you can help. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 10:58, 11 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
