Spike Jones[edit]

Hi. Regarding your recent edit to Spike Jones, and the track Ghost Riders in the Sky.

If you check the reputable source I have quoted (and which the Spike Jones article uses in references elsewhere) here, you will note that the version included on the Greatest Hits Vol 2 is not in fact the original "prized rarity", but an edited version, on the insistence of the then stockholder of RCA Records and its writer, Vaughn Monroe, of the song you mention.

Although I have re-worded the article to show this, I have not reverted your entry entirely, as I notice that you do much good work in Wikipedia and have made a very valid inclusion in the general article Spike Jones.

No, unfortunately not. As you described, its a rarity, and the P2P stuff I've seen so far available for download on the internet contains only the censored version. Would have been nice if Monroe had got a sense of humour though wouldn't it?
