There is nothing unconstructive about my edits. Whitney and Aretha are big Adele's and Katy Perry's influences. The only edits I made. So I don't see a problem. Listen, Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin are big Katy Perry's influences ( way bigger influences than Cindy Lauper, Stevie Nicks and Mariah Carey). Katy often sings Whitney's songs on her tours so my edit is very productive in any sense. So there is nothing misleading about my additions. On the other hand, they have a lot of sense. I'm not a troll and I work with my name unlike you. And if here there is some kind of racism? What's the problem that I included Whitney The Voice Houston or Aretha Franklin as Katy's influences if it's a true information? My adding is productive in any sense of the word. It's not a secret that she sings Whitney's songs very often. It is some kind of racism from your part or? Go and ask Katy Perry why she sings Whitney's songs on her tours and if Whitney is not her influence why she does it? If Houston is not her influence then why Katy sings or better said tries to sing her songs? If I add talentless and voiceless Madonna it won't be a problem for you. When Katy Perry sings Madonna's or Cindy Lauper's or Stevie Nick's songs on her tours??? NEVER! When Katy Perry sings overrated Mariah Carey's songs on her tours? Never! When she sings ABBA's songs? I doubt that Katy would be happy from your prejudices. She should be proud that Whitney, Aretha and Michael are her influences. And isn't it strange that Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin (three amazing singers and artists with black color of their skin) who are big Katy Perry's influences and who sings their songs veeery often (especially Whitney's ones) are skipped? Tina Turner is Katy's influence too! You should stop with the misleading obvious racism. Stevie Nicks, Cindy Lauper, Mariah Carey and ABBA have a minimum influence on her but they appear because are white or at least with cream color. Let's be more correct. Race has nothing at all to do with my changes and your accusations are completely unfounded. My qualm is that you haven't provided any citations that actually support the notion she was influenced by Whitney, Aretha, Tina, or Michael. You cannot determine this solely based on covering their songs. Giving a eulogy isn't a sufficient basis either. If you can find pieces where Katy talks about how they inspired/influenced songs she wrote, then please use those instead of what was inserted before. I found a source with a title Katy Perry: Influences which includes 15 songs that influenced her music. Whitney's song I wanna dance with somebody is included. The source is about the songs that inspired her, in the same source are Mariah's Fantasy and Alanis Morissettes's You oughta know. I think that's enough. Good find on the playlist. We'll need something separate for any artist not included there. For the record, this mentions ABBA inspiration while Lauper inspiration can be found here. Both refs were already implemented into the page. Maybe it's just a temporary loading issue on my end, but I couldn't access the linked video for Nicks, so that might need a replacement ref at some point. As for Madonna, I'd say her Truth or Dare documentary inspiring Katy's movie Part of Me is enough to qualify for a listing, and highly doubt she's trashed Ms. Ciccone in the ways you claim. The section in Adele's article you are trying to edit is a quote. You cannot change her words. The quote is already written in its entirety, and is not to be tampered with. You're not getting it. A USA Today story quotes Adele: "I taught myself how to sing by listening to Ella Fitzgerald for acrobatics and scales, Etta James for passion and Roberta Flack for control." Note the absence there of any mention of Whitney Houston. To suggest that she says in that article that she credits Houston too for acrobatics and scales (or indeed for anything) falsifies the cited source.
