October 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Larry Hockett. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Larry Hockett (Talk) 23:46, 24 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I still don't understand why I was blocked as I used a reliable source on my wikipedia page edit and I don't understand how was I given another chance. xoxo loshkin poshkin MattArianator (talk) 00:18, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. SQLQuery me! 02:52, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

My edits were very constructive because it is proven that Raini Rodriguez is engaged to Pete Davidson and is a meme. MattArianator (talk) 13:30, 25 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You failed to demonstrate that with independent reliable sources. It's clear you don't have needed maturity or skills needed to be a constructive editor, despite being given another chance. I am declining your request. Further unproductive requests could result in your ability to edit this page being removed. 331dot (talk) 13:44, 25 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or the block is no longer necessary because you understand what you have been blocked for, will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and will make useful contributions instead. The block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia because I swear on Ebony Jenkins that I will not do something like this again. I use Wikipedia all the time as a student and it's a viable resource for me, something I would never want to ruin for other people because easy access to information is a privilege. I understand that I was blocked for making changes to someone's biography using non-reliable sources. I have reached out to someone close to Raini Rodriguez who proved that Raini is not engaged to Pete Davidson even though they have been seen together. And as for the meme section I added, that was in my opinion a valuable edit except for my sources again weren't reliable and I'm sorry for that. I will make useful contributions.

Decline reason:

I concur with the other administrators: as things stand, Wikipedia would not be well served by unblocking you. AGK ■ 22:25, 28 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Can you demonstrate an edit that you would make if unblocked? You can post the proposed edit below. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 04:17, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
In addition to NinjaRobotPirate's question above, could you also confirm that you now understand the difference between an encyclopedia and an online forum with regards to posting memes and relationship gossip? -- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 18:17, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I would edit spelling errors (if there were any), for example. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, there are other places to post relationship gossip and memes.

Request reason:

I believe that I am here to create an encyclopedia. I use Wikipedia regularly for basic research as do many other people I know. I want to improve it to help others using it as well as sort of pay it back for all the help it's given me. I know that I haven't been paying it back in the right way, in fact I have in a terrible way and I will stop doing that. I am a very good writer and can help improve this website. And even though I am young, I believe that I am competent enough to be a part of Wikipedia and edit it. I am a native English speaker with a language level that rivals that of many adults, am at an advanced level in French (fr-3) and a beginner level in Spanish (es-3). Even though I am young, my credentials already rival those of many other editors and I believe that I could be an asset to Wikipedia if I was allowed to contribute and have another chance. I would be grateful and thank you in advance. Xoxo Loshkin Poshkin

Decline reason:

I asked you to demonstrate an edit that you would make. If that wasn't clear enough, here's a nice big template that will give you the long version.

This unblock request has been declined due to your history of vandalism and/or disruption to this encyclopedia. However, we are willing to give you another chance provided that you can earn back the trust of the Wikipedia community. To be unblocked you need to demonstrate that you are willing and able to contribute positively to Wikipedia. You can do this by:

  • Familiarizing yourself with our basic rules.
  • Read our guide to improving articles
  • Pick any pre-existing article you wish to improve.
  • If you have trouble choosing an article to improve, see this index of articles needing improvement for ideas. Once you have decided on the article you will propose improvements to:
    1. Click the Edit tab at the top of that article;
    2. Copy the portion of the prose from that article that you will be proposing changes to. However:
      • do not copy the "infobox" from the start of the article (i.e., markup like this: ...);
      • do not copy any image placement code (i.e., markup like this: );
      • do not copy the page's categories from the bottom of the page (i.e., markup like this: );
      • do not copy the stub tag (if there) from the bottom of the page (i.e., markup like this: Foo stub);
    3. Click edit at your talk page, and paste at the bottom under a new section header (like this: == Article title ==) the copied content but do not save yet;
    4. Place your cursor in the edit summary box and paste there an edit summary in the following form which specifies the name of the article you copied from and links to it (this is required for mandatory copyright attribution): "Copied content from exact Name of Article; see that article's history for attribution."
    5. You can now save the page. However, if your edits will include citations to reliable sources (which they should), add the following template to the end of your prose: reflist-talk. Once you have added the template, click Publish changes.
  • Now, edit that content. Propose significant and well researched improvements by editing the selected portion of the article. Please note that we are not looking for basic typo corrections, or small unreferenced additions; your edits should be substantial, and reflect relevant policies.
  • When you are done with your work, re-request unblocking and an administrator will review your proposed edits.
    • If we (including the original blocking admin) are convinced that your proposed edits will improve Wikipedia as an encyclopedia, you will be unblocked.
If you need help while working with your proposed edits, you may add "your question here ~~~~" to your talk page. Thank you. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 22:49, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the unblock template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Per this policy, you are not permitted to remove decline unblock requests on a active block. If you do so again you'll lose your ability to edit this talk page. OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:40, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Bendomino is played similar to Dominos, in rounds. At the beginning of each round, place the 28 Bendominoes face down and mix them. Players take a set number of Bendominos, the remaining pieces represent the stock pile. (When there are 2 players, each player takes 7 Bendominoes, when there are 3 players, each player takes 6 Bendominoes and when there are 4 players, each player takes 5 Bendominoes.)

The player with the highest Bendomino double starts the game by placing the piece on the center of the table. If no double was drawn, the highest Bendomino number should be played. (Example: 6/5)

Taking turns in a clockwise direction, each player tries to match a Bendomino by number to either end of the chain. To be accepted, the new piece needs to match the others but also has to fit.

Connecting pieces

Each Bendomino in the chain must be fully connected to the other pieces to ensure that the game is accurate.

Draw

If players do not have a Bendomino that can be played, they must draw one piece from the stock pile. If the piece they draw can be played, they can immediately play it.

Players can decide to draw a Bendomino and pass their turn even if they have playable pieces.

Blocked positions

Either end of the Bendomino game can be blocked when:

No matching numbers are available or can fit. One end of the game becomes a dead end. Both ends of the game connect, which is very rare.

If both ends of the Bendomino chain are blocked and no new Bendominoes can be played, each player draws a Bendomino until the stock pile is empty.

End of a round

To win a round, you need to be in a situation where no pieces can be played by any player and you have the lowest amount of points total. (The point total is the total number of dots on your remaining Bendominoes. If you happen to have 3 points on your remaining Bendominoes and everybody else has 5 points, you are the winner.) The winner of a round scores the dot points from all of the opponents’ remaining Bendominoes. (If all of their dot points add up to 29 points, you would get 29 points as the winner.)

Winning the game

To win the game, you must be the first person to score 100 points in total.
