Category:Activists for Japanese-American civil rights

There's been a request at [1] to determine the rationale for the category renaming from Category:Japanese American civil rights activists to Category:Activists for Japanese-American civil rights. I noticed that at the history for Category:Activists for Japanese-American civil rights that your username is listed. If you could shed some light on why you proposed this change at [2], it would be appreciated. Thanks. — Myasuda (talk) 14:15, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

I have nominated Category:Canadian expatriate ice hockey people in the United States (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at the discussion page. Thank you.  RGTraynor  02:03, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

Howdy Mayumashu. Would ya please do this WP:HOCKEY member a big favour. Seek WP:HOCKEY's approval before creating NHL related categories. GoodDay (talk) 14:31, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

What makes this an NHL category any more than a human migration one? Mayumashu (talk) 14:52, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
Your question is irrelevant, since WP:HOCKEY sees it as an NHL category. Why create a category, only to see it get deleted? GoodDay (talk) 14:59, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
You know, I don t know what I was thinking. Mayumashu (talk) 15:17, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
Do as ya wish, categorize freely. GoodDay (talk) 21:33, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

This is a courtesy note to let you know that your name has come up in a discussion here. Dolovis (talk) 22:53, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

Horizontal line after hatnote

Hello, is there a reason for making Ray Allen, Charles Barkley, Vince Carter, etc. exceptions to the "horizontal dividing line" rule at WP:HAT#Format? —LOL T/C 02:34, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Didn t know it was policy not to have the line. A shame because the page looks better with it, and wikipedias in other languages use it. Mayumashu (talk) 02:37, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
It's just a guideline that editors are encouraged to follow, but I hope you won't mind if I remove those horizontal lines. The last discussion I could find about them is here. You can try bringing it up again because it doesn't appear to have a consensus and it's been four years. —LOL T/C 02:47, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
I d prefer keeping them but I m not about to get into an edit skirmish with you over those particular pages. Having said that, I am likely to continue putting them in as I visit pages in the future. (I do jump around a lot.) Mayumashu (talk) 02:53, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
I would advise against violating the guideline because WP:GUIDES says "Editors should attempt to follow guidelines". You'll probably get more flak from other editors because the addition of those lines will probably not be perceived as an attempt to follow guidelines. At any rate, happy editing. :) —LOL T/C 03:07, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
Okay, thanks - you too. Mayumashu (talk) 03:14, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
Aside from not following the guideline, you are creating formatting inconsistency between articles. We already discussed this earlier about adding spaces and you said you would stop doing that, the horizontal line is pretty much the same thing. You could have at least started a discussion on Wikipedia talk:Hatnote as a courtesy if you wanted to continue to do this. LonelyMarble (talk) 21:19, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Removal of Template:Mathematicians by century

Hi Mayumashu. I was wondering why you removed {{Mathematicians by century}} from Category:11th-century mathematicians (your edit) and Category:20th-century mathematicians (your edit) (and maybe some others?). Thanks. DH85868993 (talk) 02:50, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

I couldn t see how to access the template to edit it. I ve made my edit to it now, changing 'scientist' to 'scholar' - I readd the template to the pages I deleted it from now. Mayumashu (talk) 02:18, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

Speedy renaming nominations with objections

Just a courtesy reminder: three of your speedy nominations from April have objections and, therefore, can't be handled via the speedy process. The three are: Category:Latino civil rights activists, Category:French Quebecers and Category:Quebecers of French descent. I don't know if you changed your mind about the renames or if you still think they should be renamed, so... Cheers, -- Black Falcon (talk) 18:55, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Okay, thanks for the update Mayumashu (talk) 02:03, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

AN/I re Roseleena Blair

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.

Hi Mayumashu, I assume you'll see this at the ANI thread above, or the article, but to make sure: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/University of Alabama in Huntsville varsity tennis team Playboy controversy. --Floquenbeam (talk) 21:17, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
Hi Floquenbeam. I did, thanks. I ll be careful next time with using names of living people in article names that put image of person in negative light. Take care, Mayumashu (talk) 21:43, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
