Presidential Election of 1789

[edit]

Why did you think my edit on the election of 1789 to be unconstructive? Washington's first term was not "only three years long," itt was nearly the entire four year term. He took office at the end of April, 1789 because there was no quorum before that. The term expired in early March, 1793. This is only two months shy of a full term. Help reverting vandalism

[edit]

I've been against vandalism ever since I made my Wikipedia account. However, I appear to be too slow to revert vandalism, because by the time I do, the admins are already done warning the vandal. Is there any other way I can contribute to the community?--Iner22 (talk) 18:08, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, where can I download Huggle?--Iner22 (talk) 20:21, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for picking up the vandalism on this site during the last few days. It is continuing, with several reverts needed each day. Not sure the bestway to get these users blocked. Any advice. Thanks FruitMonkey (talk) 12:30, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reply. Someone else got fed up and locked the article down. Cheers. FruitMonkey (talk) 15:50, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

huh?

[edit]

This is the second note in 3 minutes I have gotten on a revert. You just reverted a message I left on this guy's talk page, who also had reverted something he realized he shouldn't have. Just curious- Is it because you are seeing BOT in the name, or the low numbers of edits, or what? -MandelBot (talk) 22:11, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind. I saw the vandalism on that user's page. Thanks for your service on vandalism patrol. -MandelBot (talk) 22:28, 20 February 2009 (UTC) (User: J JMesserly)[reply]
My bot run is done so I am not using MandelBot on my own pages anymore. Sorry- it did look confusing. -J JMesserly (talk) 06:01, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you call what I did vandelism? I followed the directions on ohnoitsjamie talk page Maclouie (talk) 22:13, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Recent revert

[edit]

Hi, I'm kinda new to fighting vandalism but I try my best. Can you explain why you reverted my revert here Brittany Snow? Thanks Frosted14 02:50, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok thanks for replying. I though it was something like that :) Cheers -- Frosted14 11:45, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

[edit]

Sorry if my edits at Jim Clyburn were a problem. I was just trying to polish up the wording, without adding or taking any info away. 67.101.96.110 (talk) 06:11, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD: Cristina Schultz

[edit]

I'm hoping to get more discussion about a proposal to delete Cristina Schultz. I'm giving this message to all registered users who have contributed to Cristina Schultz or its talk page, except for some with no WP contributions in the last four months, and one WP:SPA with no talk page. Waving your direction

[edit]

Notice you haven't been editing much (five edits in March and April)! I hope "real" (as they call it in Second Life) is keeping you fruitfully busy! Regards, Piano non troppo (talk) 18:22, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please update your status with WP:VG

[edit]

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion, guidelines for use at WP:MINOR). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and all users will still be able to manually mark their edits as being minor in the usual way.

For well-established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:35, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
