Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Information icon Thank you for your edit to the disambiguation page Lem. However, please note that disambiguation pages are not articles; rather, they are meant to help readers find a specific article quickly and easily. From the disambiguation dos and don'ts, you should:

  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry
    • Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links or references

This isn't an appropriate place to enter somebody's name who doesn't have a Wikipedia article and for whom there are no sources demonstrating that person's notability. Please discuss this with the editors at WP:TEAHOUSE if you have any questions. Julietdeltalima (talk) 19:13, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Cotter (surname) appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Julietdeltalima (talk) 19:14, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

And something else, Mountainman: reverting an editor without bothering to explain why you're doing that is really not very collegial. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 22:56, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • User:Julietdeltalima, at some point someone may have to decide if WP:NOTHERE applies: so far the user is basically just adding a name to various lists--one wonders whose name that is. This is the kind of question you might expect at your RfA. ;) Drmies (talk) 22:59, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Drmies, I eagerly await a WP:RS to be provided regarding the WP:GNG-level accomplishments of this bicycling 25-year-old industrialist and philanthropist. Without same, given that we've made a record of the user being expressly on notice, any re-addition is presumptive vandalism that even the Cool Nurturing Admins can't possibly wave off with "insufficiently warned; don't be bitey". No muss, no fuss.
I reckon someday I probably will end up squandering a week off work to do an RFA (I guess I could go do it from some professional-nomad-type destination and at least be in, like, Yellowknife or Alderney, where no one could hear me scream), but the security issues are still of too much concern for my old-cat-lady self. Hope all's well! - Julietdeltalima (talk) 00:23, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
