Non-free rationale for File:Logo dark landscape.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Logo dark landscape.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:27, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Naomikr. A couple things about File:Logo dark landscape.png. First of all, non-free files can only be used in the article namespace per Wikipedia's non-free content criterion #9; this means you cannot use (i.e. display) the file in Draft:Monsido and you shouldn't try to re-add the file to that draft until after it's been accepted as explained in WP:DRAFTS#Preparing drafts. The next thing is that all non-free files are required to have a separate specific non-free use rationale for each use on Wikipedia per non-free content criterion #10c; however, it's currently not possible to write a valid non-free use rationale since all non-free files are reqiured to be used in at least one artilce per non-free content criterion #7. So, after the draft has been approved, please add a non-free use rationale for the relevant use to the file's page. I suggest using Template:Non-free use rationale logo since its fairly easy to use, but you can write out your own rationale if you like as explained WP:FUR#Non-template. If this file happens to be deleted before the draft you're working on has been approved, don't panic. The file can be fairly easily restored per WP:REFUND once the draft has been approved. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:47, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Logo dark landscape.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Logo dark landscape.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:51, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
