File copyright problem with File:James McNeish in Auckland.JPG
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:James McNeish in Auckland.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Salavat (talk) 05:02, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
Re: How to get a photo onto James McNeish's page (NZ author)?
[edit]So regarding your question. If you are planing on uploading a free license image then you should head over to Wiki Commons, make yourself an account, and then upload the image. Use the upload page to find the type of image that you are uploading or if your not sure how to advance head over to their Help desk and post your relevent question. I dont do much work on free license images so im probably not the best one to give guidance but the guys over at Commons will surely be able to help you. Plus uploading a free image straight on to commons allows you to link here at wikipedia the same as if you uploaded the image here. Salavat (talk) 04:23, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
From Yoseftal to Josephthal
[edit]I am unsure how to change the name given in the heading on the article about Georg Yoseftal.
This is not the correct spelling for his name. My asssertion is based on the book about him, which was published by Schocken in 1966, and which is quoted in the references. Though this book was published after his death, it contains a contribution by his wife Senta Josephthal, and this is the way the name is spelled throughout. It is also spelled that way in the English section of the website rijo-research.de (see under Georg Josephthal, Nuremberg)
The mix-up has occurred because of the transliteration of the name, first into Hebrew and then back again into English by the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) database compilers. Much of the data for this page originate from this database.
