Category:Roman Catholic Church Councils of Italy

Neddy, What appalling names, clearly implying they are local Italian etc councils, when several were regarded as Universal councils by the West at least. You have also muddied the much more important distinction between local councils and full church councils - it is now extremely hard to work out here which was which - a list is needed.

I'll start work on one. In some small defence, that distinction between local and universal wasn't made in the old, full Category:Roman Catholic Church Councils either. Neddyseagoon - talk 15:27, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Update - there is one for Ecumenical councils, but there needs to be ones for post-Schism ones for the whole RC church, as against local RC ones. V2 (disambiguation)?

I see that you left a redlink for V2 (disambiguation) in V-twin and V-2 rocket. Were you planning to rename V2 to this, or something else? Brianhe (talk) 06:33, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Well, I was just doing some re-linking/disambiguating of links to V2, and the majority of them were on music pages and should have been to V2 Records. Therefore I was thinking of redirecting V2 to V2 Records, and have a "V2 redirects here - for other meanings see V2 (disambiguation)". Though then I saw that one of the V2 links was on V, transcluded from {{Latin alphabet}}, which I can't seem to edit to get round the disambiguation I wanted to do. I just noticed this new template, and my first reaction was "Why?". Now that I see your reasoning... I still ask why. Does anyone care that VP goes to Vice president instead of VP (disambiguation); VW goes to Volkswagen instead of a disambiguation page; V4 goes to V4 engine instead of V4 (disambiguation); V6 goes to V6 engine instead of V6 (disambiguation); V8 goes to V8 engine instead of V8 (disambiguation); and V0, V7, V9, 5V, and 6V go to various airlines instead of to disambiguation pages? And those are just the examples from {{AZsubnav|V}}. I suggest reverting V back to {{Latin alphabet}} and putting {{db-author}} on the redundant template. Anomie⚔ 02:54, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Boulevards, Avenues, etc, of Paris

Dear Neddy,

I noticed your recent category changes to many of the "Paris streets" articles: I'm not entirely convinced of the wisdom of separating Paris' streets into "Boulevard" and "Avenue" sub-categories, as many of Paris' street "boulevard" (etc) attributions are wishful more than anything, and this sub-dividing adds an extra step for those hoping to browse a more extensive list of Paris' streets. Is there some sort of logic in all this that I missed?

I'm hoping to boost these sub-categories with more articles from French wiki, so they won't be small for long.

Wishful by whom? By their official namers, or by those who titled the article on them. If the latter, concern is understandable - but not if the former. If we are sorting by name, it has to be the names they actually have, not the name they should have!  :-)

As for a more extensive list, I'm hoping to create something along the lines of Streets in Paris as a master page for Category:Streets in Paris, to include, Boulevards, Avenues etc. Neddyseagoon - talk 15:11, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Hey there, I found your name under the category "Wikipedians who speak Latin". Anyway, I am in the process of working on an article about the Pont Notre-Dame in Paris. There is an inscription from Sannazaro under one of the bridges arches which reads:

Jucundus geminum posuit tibi, Sequana, pontes

Hunc tu jure potes dicere Pontificem
