X-prize

[edit]

I see you added the X prize to Burt Rutan's page. I'm not sure that this is appropriate. The section is for awards that Burt himself has won. He personally didn't win the X Prize, the team overall did, and the partnership actually received the money. I didn't edit your addition out because I wanted to touch base with you on it, but I don't think it belongs there. Akradecki 03:13, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your help with RNA polymerase. If you're interested in this sort of thing, you might want to take a look at the WikiProject Molecular and Cellular Biology. Cheers! – ClockworkSoul 18:21, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orbit award

[edit]

Hi. Since you created the page, I guess it's fair to ask you to expand the page a little bit. What is this award? What is it given for? How are winners chosen? How often? What are the basic references? As it stands right now, I am very tempted to propose its deletion on the grounds that there is absolutely no context in the article. Thanks, Pascal.Tesson 03:17, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Nevit. I saw your glowlight tetra article. Nice work. Just want to let you know that the WikiProject Aquarium Fishes has been set up recently. I wonder if you might be interested in joining the project. Take a look at the project page. Thank you and take care !! --Melanochromis 11:39, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tone mapping images

[edit]

I'm looking at the appropriateness of the images on the Tone mapping page (see Talk). Your image of Image:Set06-DSC07722-a.jpg is wonderful, and it would be great to have one of the original photos so that the effect of the tone mapping can be seen. Can you help with this? Orbit Award

[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Orbit Award, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. 172.130.215.195 13:31, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of DSC-W30

[edit]

A tag has been placed on DSC-W30 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Tuxmath, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.newbreedsoftware.com/tuxmath. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 16:19, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

With regard to the deleted article, the web page seemed to indicate that while the program itself was available under the GPL, the copyright notice at the bottom seemed to apply to the text, which was why the article was deleted. – Toon(talk) 21:57, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If you can show that, then the deleting admin will restore the article - we just can't risk having copyrighted work on Wikipedia! :) – Toon(talk) 14:19, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Fizy

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Fizy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. The Llama! Electroconvulsive therapy

[edit]

Howdy - I notice you had linked your user page from this article under the heading "Wikimedians undergone ECT". If your ECT was particularly notable in some way (perhaps the first use in a particular medical scenario, or produced unusual results that changed how the therapy was subsequently used) then it may be appropriate to mention your name in the article, along with this information. However, simply being one of the thousands of wikipedia editors who have undergone the treatment is probably not worth mentioning in the article, sorry. - TB (talk) 11:33, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! You seem to have overwritten a couple of editors' comments (including mine). Could I ask you to reinstate them? Cheers, TFOWRidle vapourings 18:03, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:1000 cubes.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
