- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or sock puppetry.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. [edit]Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Asaduddin Owaisi does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
- User contributions
- Recent changes
- Watchlists
- Revision differences
- IRC channels
- Related changes
- New pages list and
- Article editing history
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! Kautilya3 (talk) 12:51, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Yamaguchi先生. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Kavita Krishnan, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please do not change the date of birth field in the Infobox without citing a reliable source which can be verified by others. Yamaguchi先生 18:18, 31 August 2015 (UTC)

Critical reception
[edit]Hi, when adding critical response content as you did here, please note that a rating requires additional context. For instance, saying that a film got 3.5 stars is meaningless if we don't know how many stars the range was. 3.5 out of 5? 3.5 out of 10? Makes a huge difference. More importantly, we should be providing prose content to explain the key aspects of the review, perhaps even with a brief quotation excerpt:
- Ralph Singh of the International Business Times found the grainy quality of the film to be distracting, but praised Doe's performance, commenting, "Doe, for once, has managed to really drive the emotional story such that you finally like him after years of bad acting."
Without context, there is little academic value to the additions, and we are not an indiscriminate collection of statistics. Thanks in advance for keeping this in your mind, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:43, 25 September 2015 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for October 16
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Bihar Legislative Assembly election, 2015, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tariq Anwar. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:47, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
