Random edits to various articles

I have reverted your recent random edits to various articles, none of them were correct or useful. Theroadislong (talk) 09:24, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

they were flagged for editing, and i found little grammatical error in them so i changed the few errors i could find, such as capitalisation. also writing 9 as nine and 3 as three is a waste of space so i changed that to be more concise. Ninjaboii (talk) 09:37, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, new editor @Ninjaboii! Wikipedia has strict rules about things like capitalisation and writing out low numbers like one, five and ten. You can find these rules in the Wikipedia manual of style. Often, our rules go against your real-life editing habits, but they are consistent within Wikipedia. under specific circumstances, such as these, facebook and youtube can be reliable sources. i was not trying to give information about the game with these sources, more so proof that it existed and also gameplay footage. Ninjaboii (talk) 10:00, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Ninjaboii, yes facebook and youtube can be reliable sources for some basic facts such as the company statement of closing down support, however Wikipedia is not just for any subject the exists. All new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). Per your user page, it is very usual for new editors to not understand the Wikipedia notability and referencing guidelines and polices at first and this is no way makes you a "terrible editor and article writer". Writing a new article from scratch is considered by many one of the most difficult task to start with. The key things would be to see if 3+ sources exists that have significant coverage and are independent and reliable. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 10:32, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, @Ninjaboii, Wikipedia aspires to be the sum of all notable human knowledge. A lot of arcane material thus ends up in the hands of very specialised researchers and aficionados, and Wikipedia cannot cover it. We are a crowd-sourced encyclopedia project, and thus verifiability is strictly down to reliable, published sources, rather than personal knowledge, recollection, blogs and social media, where fallibility is rife, whether intentional or otherwise.
