Some of your uploaded images, like Image:Bee-gees.jpg, Image:I-hate-work.jpg, Image:Yeltsin 238.jpg, have unclear status. Please explain where you have got them and their copyright status, or they may have to be deleted. Thank you.--Jusjih 13:30, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Saying "Bee-gees.jpg" for Image:Bee-gees.jpg is no good while no article links to it, which will not be any "fair" use. Image:I-hate-work.jpg might qualify as fair use and you may try adding {{Fair use in|Employment}} to the image, but I cannot guarantee that it contends to be fair while the US Copyright Law does not have a clear boundary of fair use and copyright infringement. Image:Yeltsin 238.jpg might not qualify as fair use while there are many others at Commons:Борис Николаевич Ельцин.
You have to explain the source of Image:Cola cao product.jpg and Image:Autopsy joke.jpg as well. When no article links to Image:Counter-strike-logo.png it cannot be fair. Image:Eddie Hobbs book.jpg is a book cover, so adding {{Book cover}} may be fair use, but once again, I cannot guarantee how fair it is.
After all, please real all instructions at Special:Upload very carefully, or your uploads may have to be deleted.--Jusjih 14:19, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What was your objection to the description of Homer's hair? Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. mgekelly 14:10, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

hmm. I'm dubious as to what information about Homer would be "important" - I suspect most of this article would not qualify. In any case, there are numerous flashback episode in which Homer's hair, prior to balding, is clearly brown. mgekelly 00:03, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:Yariguies-Brush-Finch.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Yariguies-Brush-Finch.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:10, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Predator Wars, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on Talk:Predator Wars. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Thanks. DarkSaber2k 15:01, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use disputed for Image:Header-the-panel.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Header-the-panel.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:10, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Hugh.jpg

[edit]
File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Hugh.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:50, 24 July 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MBisanz talk 04:50, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Buj-logo.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:18, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
