Notability of The Potters School

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on The Potters School, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because The Potters School seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting The Potters School, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Potworldtitle.gif)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Potworldtitle.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:35, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just to let you know, adding {{pp-semi-protected}} to a page is only a means for an admin to notify users that a page is protected. This does not actually confer protection to the article, such as with the notice you placed on The Potters School. If you need help protecting a page, please contact an admin or request it. Thanks!  —  Tivedshambo  (t/c) 23:12, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of The Potters School

[edit]

An editor has nominated The Potters School, an article which you have created or worked on, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Potters School and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 09:59, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

why not a preacher for goodness sake? doesn't a prophet teach? oiy! You know back in biblical times women were uneducated......Is that why Paul said this? is is cultural? I do not see the difference between evangelists, preachers, and teachers. Even children teach us things. The way i look at it is that if men don't do it and a woman is called to teach..then teach she must! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.250.144.203 (talk) 03:01, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Hi OnFire4Jesus!
We thank you for uploading Image:Young Betsie 21 -1.png, but there is a problem. Your image is currently missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Unless you can help by adding a copyright tag, it may be deleted by an Administrator. If you know this information, then we urge you to add a copyright tag to the image description page. We apologize for this, but all images must confirm to policy on Wikipedia.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks so much for your cooperation.

AAU reminder notice

[edit]
A friendly reminder from the Adopt-a-User project =)
Hey there OnFire4Jesus! This is a friendly reminder to update your status at Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User/Adoptee's Area/Adopters whenever it is appropriate in order to provide new users with the most up-to-date information on available adopters. Also please note that we will be removing adopters who have not edited in 60 days. If you become active again (and we hope you do!) please feel free to re-add yourself. Cheers!

Second adoption?

[edit]

Greetings OnFire4Jesus, I see you're up for adoption, and I'm in the market. I noticed you were once adopted by Diligent Terrier...not sure what happened there, but we can clear it up. If you're still interested, feel free to drop me a line anytime. Happy editing - Draeco (talk) 07:56, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sure thing. Ask away and I'll answer as best I can. - Draeco (talk) 23:02, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Four tildas (~~~~). It automatically generates everything that comes after this hyphen - Draeco (talk) 20:20, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That's odd, it sounds like you're doing it right. Try going to Special:Preferences, clear the signature box, and uncheck the "raw signature" option below it. Beyond that I dunno, ask the Wikipedia:Help desk. - Draeco (talk) 22:31, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry it's taken so long for me to respond. It looks like you figured out how to upload your image. To place it in articles, just copy the article name ("file name") that appears at the top of that image's page and paste it into text, either into an infobox or embedded in the text with double brackets. It looks like you were on the right track but couldn't quite get the file name correct. I've taken the liberty of adding your pic; you can check the edit history at Catherine Zeta-Jones to see exactly how it was done. As for your userboxes, the official guideline is at WP:UBX, specifically the Grouping userboxes subsection. People do many other formats though; my only suggestion there is to keep your eyes open, and if you see a format you like, copy it. - Draeco (talk) 13:32, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Zeta Jones 66669113 400.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Zeta Jones 66669113 400.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 20:56, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree File:Zeta Jones 66669113 400.jpg

[edit]

An image that you uploaded or altered, File:Zeta Jones 66669113 400.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the image description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Rossrs (talk) 15:42, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Etenboom1990.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Disputed fair use rationale for File:Betsie Potrait.jpg}

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Betsie Potrait.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Corrie ten Boom siblings - source

[edit]

Thank you for participating in editing Corrie ten Boom! When adding new information to any page, (as you did with Corrie ten Boom) you must cite your sources; this is important in the prevention of vandalism and slander and keeps Wiki as accurate as possible. If you need help citing your sources, see Wiki help on the editing page itself. Portia327 (talk) 17:23, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Citations

[edit]

The most basic way to cite a source is to embed your citation within the text of the article with reference tags flaking it like so: <ref>CitationHere</ref> and it's done. This is detailed at WP:CITE. If possible, I encourage you to take it a step further and use appropriate citation templates. Good hearing from you. - Draeco (talk) 21:34, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Train Cars.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Ricky81682 (talk) 23:50, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
