May 2015[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Shane Bemis has been reverted.
Your edit here to Shane Bemis was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xE0M8Wm3MCI) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 23:19, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem icon Your addition to Shane Bemis has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Conifer (talk) 23:59, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to restore information or content a user has expressed issues with, as you did at Shane Bemis, you may be blocked from editing. --Finngall talk 18:01, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Mayor Shane Bemis.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Request reason:

this block is no longer necessary because I now understand why I was blocked (using verbatim text from a bio posted online) so I will no longer make that mistake and I will be able make productive contributions instead. I am new to editing in Wikipedia and would appreciate a second change.OregonDuck22 (talk) 16:02, 22 June 2015 (UTC)OregonDuck22[reply]

Decline reason:

Unblock is certainly possible, but in view of the large number of copyright violations involved (all of your edits, all about the same person), please explain here your understanding of copyright law as it applies to Wikipedia. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 18:46, 22 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
