Information icon Hello (talk) and Equine-man (talk), I am Dorothy Ruiz Martinez, using the username Rafaela Mars. Someone published my personal information on Wikipedia, and I did not approve of this. You can contact me if you need to verify I am Dorothy Ruiz. The Wikipedia page has personal information, and inaccurate information. I wish to exercise my privacy, my right to withhold personal information from the public, due to potential security breaches, misuse of my biography, etc. Please let me know if you wish to verify my identity, and I am happy to provide this information. Thank you for you help, and please stop undoing what I have edited. (u) (t) 06:95, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please verify your identity by sending an email to info-en@wikimedia.org. If you send it from a NASA email account that should suffice to establish your identity (do not send identity documents unless requested). I would ask you if you have been the only one operating this account, some of your edit summaries seem as if they were written by someone else. Only one person should have access to this account.
Wikipedia has a strict policy about how living persons are written about (WP:BLP), so if there is incorrect information in the article about you, we want to know what it is, you may make a formal edit request(click for instructions) detailing changes you wish to see. If there is sensitive personal information that must be removed, we want to know about that as well, especially if it is not sourced to a publicly available independent reliable source. 331dot (talk) 08:32, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I will add that a person's authorization is not required for their to be a Wikipedia article about them, because Wikipedia summarizes what publicly available independent reliable sources say. A person cannot grant or deny permission to have an article- but articles must be correct. Again, we want to know about any errors. 331dot (talk) 08:34, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. After further analyzing, I, Equine-man and the whole Wikipedia community agreed to come and sincerely apologize for any mistreatment that we expressed toward you on our part. You see, here on Wikipedia, we all are volunteers and we are guided by rather strict consensus (WP:CONSENSUS) on what to write, how to write, and even when to write (WP:TOOSOON). Nevertheless, our project generates millions of edits a day, with the new information added every half a second that we need to carefully look at and analyze. Sometimes we remove unsourced information, other times we add sourced content that should be verifiable, and because of it's speed and being short staffed (because we all come in different time zones), we sometimes end up undoing sometimes even a proper edit (such as yours). The reason why we undid it, it wasn't because we wanted to preserve an incorrect bio, it's because we wanted to preserve the correct one. You see, if you go to the article's history, you will see that your edit removed the sources, which are crucial for any article to exist here. You can work around the sources, or you can request an edit (your choice), but please don't remove the sources, because otherwise we assume that somebody is trying to vandalize the article. :) Thank you. --MollyPollyRolly (talk) 16:05, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please remember to:

  • Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp.
  • Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!
