[edit]Hello, I'm 331dot. I noticed that you made a comment on the page User talk:Lmagoutas that didn't seem very civil, so it may have been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. I understand frustration, but escalating to personal attacks is not the right approach. Please direct your energy into improving this encyclopedia. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 16:03, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Terry Smiljanich did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Peaceray (talk) 16:47, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
I noticed that a message you recently left to User talk:2603:9000:EB00:BA7:D1E7:4EA2:F681:FE2B may have been harsh. Please remember not to bite the newcomers. If you see others making a common mistake, consider politely pointing out what they did wrong and showing them how to correct it. It may take some time, but it helps us retain new editors. Thank you. You gave no explanation why you reverted the edits of 2603:9000:EB00:BA7:D1E7:4EA2:F681:FE2B, which appeared to be perfectly good citation updates. Please check an editor's work before reverting. Peaceray (talk) 16:52, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Catania Metro. Your edits do not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use your sandbox. Perhaps you should take the time to count: the sixth in a city on the Mediterranean, after Athens (1904), Barcelona (1924), Marseille (1977), Valencia (1988) and Naples (1993).
You changed it back to fifth. Peaceray (talk) 16:58, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Harvey Guillén, you may be blocked from editing. Peaceray (talk) 16:59, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance. You "unfixed" a disambiuation link that an IP editor had fixed. Peaceray (talk) 17:05, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
This is your only warning; if you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia again, as you did at Archbishop Alter High School, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. You should have consulted List of OHSAA golf champions before deleting the material. Plus you failed to leave an edit summary. Peaceray (talk) 17:17, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary, as you did at 1876 South Australian football season. Peaceray (talk) 17:27, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary, as you did at Shun'ichi Toki. Please refrain from indiscriminately reverting IP editors' work until you have verified that they are not a positive contribution. Peaceray (talk) 17:30, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
- Page patrol in a positive way
- Please read the WP:NPPNICE guidance & the WP:DONTBITE behavioral guideline. Just because someone is editing as an IP without registering does not indicate that they are making bad edits. In my experience, most IP editors are making good edits, & those who make questionable edits that are clearly not malicious should be guided & gently corrected when possible, & not automatically admonished. Peaceray (talk) 18:13, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
- Please also always leave an edit summary as why you are reverting someone's edit. If you used a semi-automatic tool, further explain when you leave a comment on someone's talk page. Peaceray (talk) 18:15, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
Goldsmiths Student Union
[edit]Hello Hope all is well. Im sorry, I thought they were constructive I was just making it visible about who the leaders at the Student union were. And since the president is there I thought I should add the Union Chair, who is the second most important person. 158.223.122.211 (talk) 17:37, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
