Not a web hosting service
[edit]Hi -- the Illick's Mill partnership looks like a neat project (checked out your website), but do be aware that Wikipedia is not a webhosting service. Your article needs to be written like it would be in an encyclopedia, not in an advert or the yellow pages, otherwise someone will assuredly flag it for deletion... --Bookgrrl 02:44, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
Illick's Mill article
[edit]I've moved the article to your userspace at User:Redpanther897/Illick's Mill Project so that you can work on it there. Please make sure you finish the page, remove copyright notices, and supply the proper GFDL licenses before putting the page back in the article space. NawlinWiki 13:45, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- Having been involved in tagging the article, I'd like to suggest an important change that you need to make (I just checked your temp page). The copyright statement at the top of the page won't be acceptable. Please read Wikipedia:Text of the GNU Free Documentation License. All text on Wikipedia is supposed to be licensed under GFDL, which states that you cannot added limitations. Also, large logos are inappropriate (a small thumbnail off to the side, like White Star Line works, though), and any web links need to go at the bottom under an "external links" header. Please let me know if you need any specific help. Also, the text needs to be written as if written by an outside person (First person language, like "Our watershed" is not appropriate in an encyclopedia article). It has to be written as objectively and dispassionately as possible, like you're a reporter with no personal interest. Akradecki 17:32, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
