February 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Girls Aloud, but we cannot accept original research. I'm not sure a table is appropriate for huge blocks of text that are narrowed by the presence of the image; please see [here]. I think this was better before as it was easier to read. Perhaps you'd care to discuss this on the Talk page, before someone comes along and undoes all your work? Rodhullandemu 21:52, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please![edit]

In your early days of Wikipedia editing, start using the talk page to discuss your changes before making them. You don't have to for small thing (minor edits) like spelling and grammar, but for big edits which may restructure or changes details of an article, please discuss. Thank you. I Help, When I Can. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to List of Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps characters, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. The reverted edit can be found here. Thank you. PhilKnight (talk) 21:42, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Gaz Wilkinson (Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps Character) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of real-world notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. On second thoughts, I've made this a redirect because there was so much wrong with it. That's not your fault, but fictional characters need real-world notability, supported by secondary, reliable sources, to be able to sustain their own articles, and they are ostensibly lacking in this case. There is long-standing consensus on Wikipedia that this is the case. If you want to create a separate article, with sources, I'd suggest you do that first in your userspace, and then move it to article space once it is properly sourced, otherwise, it will probably go. The same applies to all other "Two Pints" characters". Please take a look at the guidelines here, particularly the one linked above, and WP:MOSTV in relation to characters. And as regards the article title, unless we have another article titled "Gaz Wilkinson", it isn't necessary to put the explanatory text in brackets. Thanks. File copyright problem with File:Jade-Goody-terminally-can-001.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Jade-Goody-terminally-can-001.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Armbrust WrestleMania XXVII Undertaker 19–0 19:12, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Two pints jonny.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Two pints jonny.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:57, 2 March 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Musamies (talk) 19:57, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Live-studio-five.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Copyright problems with File:1876-sheridan-smith-1b.jpg[edit]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, File:1876-sheridan-smith-1b.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.hellomagazine.com/profiles/sheridan-smith/. As a copyright violation, File:1876-sheridan-smith-1b.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. File:1876-sheridan-smith-1b.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While contributions are appreciated, Wikipedia must require all contributors to understand and comply with its copyright policy. Image uploads[edit]

You can see by the number of messages on this page that the images you have uploaded are not suitable for wikipedia. Before uploading anymore images please make sure you read and follow the image use policy. Please note that most images you might find on the Internet are copyrighted and not appropriate for uploading to Wikipedia. "Two Pints" images again.[edit]

You really need to stop uploading and adding copyrighted images here, without regard to our image use policy. To make it plain: this article deals with the whole history of the series, not just what is happening now. We are an encyclopedia, not a news service or a blog, so we need to write an overview of all it's history. Your recent addition of the image of Donna & Gaz does not represent an overview of the whole series, and is therefore irrelevant. Please take some time out from your enthusiasm to read this guideline as to how we write articles about television series. I'm sorry, but the alternative is that you are going to be blocked from editing here. Rodhullandemu 23:15, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

March 2011[edit]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Nicole Scherzinger#Discography, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Both "Supervillain" and "Puakenikini" were released as singles. Just because you don't like it tough. They can still be bought from amazon and iTunes as singlesLil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 05:17, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Please don't upload any more images until you understand the requirements we have for them. If you need help with that, just let me know, either here or at my talk. If I see you uploading any more improperly licensed images I will have no alternative but to block you. Thanks, --John (talk) 16:47, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Final Warning[edit]

Dear user, You appear to be ignoring all policies. Firstly you've been asked to stop uploading incorrect images. Perhaps it has not occured to you but uploading multiple non-free images when free ones are available is an infringement of US and international copyright laws? As a result you are actively breaking the law. Furthermore you are adding unsourced information to a multitude of articles. Finally you are not providing a WP:Edit summary which means that everytime you edit an article someone has to go through the history to work out what you've changed. If you feel like you cannot stop doing the three things I've mentioned then I'm afraid editing on wikipedia is not the right thing for you. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 18:56, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
