Robby, would you be a sport and check out this chap's statistical chart please? User before me added wrong goals for Lille this season (it's 3 and not 1), and i now corrected. I thought that just by adding "two goals more" wherever needed would to the trick, but totals still don't match up...
Thanks in advance, enjoy rest of your weekend! --2001:8A0:7667:5801:AC14:603B:A31F:3339 (talk) 02:41, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
- Fixed (I think)! :-) Part of the problem was that the Crystal Palace totals included the loan season which they shouldn't. Robby.is.on (talk) 10:07, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
More, if you please: 1 - André Simões, i don't think the totals match at all, but maybe i'm seeing it wrong. Also, trying to find out where the "truth stood", i searched for a newspaper article for his goal for Santa Clara (here it is! https://www.record.pt/futebol/futebol-nacional/2--liga/detalhe/oliveirense-santa-clara-2-3-triunfo-surge-nos-descontos-806444) in 2012/13. So, as i corrected (but not all the way, that's where you come in my friend), it's 39 matches and ONE goal for him in that season ;)
2 - another player plying his trade in Greece, Javier Matilla: again the "invisible" space, beware...
Thanks in advance, cheers and happy week! --2001:8A0:7667:5801:E087:493E:3DB9:DB85 (talk) 20:20, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
- Sorted, I think. :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 21:28, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
Hello, Robby,
You tagged this category for a speedy rename in February. What is the status of this request? If it has been completed, can you untag the category? Liz Read! Talk! 19:22, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Liz: Done (I think). :-) It was moved to Category:Club Atlético Colegiales (Argentina) players.
- Is it usually the "job" of whoever requested the renaming to remove the tag? I'm not well versed in this area of Wikipedia. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 20:25, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
Syrian civil war 2011 - 2021 (10 years anniversary)
Hello! Did you know about the Syrian civil war ? Well, it is now 10 years, since the Syrian civil war has begined, in March 15, 2011, and now it's 2021, and it is now 10 year annyiversary, since the syrian people are defected from Syria, because of the civil war. Assad is not defeated yet, and the war is not ended yet. I've writed the Syrian civil war's talk page, and we need to fix it, because it's not 9 years now, it is 10 years now, since the civil war begined in March 15, 2011. It is shame, that President Assad is not defeated yet, the syrian people are keep coming in Europe, and the other countries, Assad is supported by the russians, and the iranians. So, did you know, it is now 10 years, since the civil war has begined, and this people is still coming from Syria, and they keep defecting from that country ? I just asking about that. --TomFZ67 (talk) 12:39, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hello @TomFZ67:. Why are you telling me this? Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 22:29, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
@Robby.is.on: Easy Robby, i didn't asked you a bad question. Firstly, i tought you know about the Syrian civil war, that in March 15, 2011 beginned, and it is now 10 years now, and it's still ongoing. I just saying about that, so, don't panic please, i am not mad and not angry at you. Have nice day. --TomFZ67 (talk) 08:14, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
- @TomFZ67: Don't worry, I didn't take it that way. But I would like to know, so could you please answer my question? Robby.is.on (talk) 09:19, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
Help!
Can you please assist at Pedro Gonçalves (watchlist for a few days or something)? I'm at my wits end with situations like this one, and that is starting to reflect on my overall summaries sometimes. Six or seven accounts have been created (mind you, ACCOUNTS CREATED, not IPs) with the sole purpose of vandalising the article (has happened with a few other Sporting CP players, but this one is by far the worst), utterly pathetic!
On a happy note, i have returned to my work in the local university library, with a better/safer contract, so maybe that will take some of the "editorial steam" off (less edits, more patience)... I really want to help out here man (and you know i do), but that's no excuse for my behaviour sometimes! No sir.
Thanks a million for whatever you can provide, take care and continue the great work --2001:8A0:7667:5801:A4E9:A1B7:F57B:F11D (talk) 15:22, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
- @2001:8A0:7667:5801:A4E9:A1B7:F57B:F11D: I'm not seeing clear and obvious vandalism there. I see a disagreement over content – the player's nickname – or possibly addition of unsourced content by an inexperienced editor. Neither of you seems to have attempted discussing the content dispute. Maybe try posting to DomMangalhão's Talk page?
- It's great to hear your work situation has improved. :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 09:30, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
Nope, bonafide vandalism my kind fellow user! The player's nickname is not "Mitalves" or anything similar, just "Pote" as shown in the source i added weeks ago. I will not engage in discussion with such a person (if you notice here https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pedro_Gon%C3%A7alves&diff=1012634617&oldid=1012634403, they also vandalise the hatnote that mentions the canoeist!), but i obviously understand where you are coming from ;)
Thanks for the support on the work front, cheers! --2001:8A0:7667:5801:49AD:2CC6:19BD:723 (talk) 15:31, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
Mi'irabawi Zone
Please refrain from changing the Bloomberg source in way that doesn't lead directly to the site. I added the Bloomberg source in order to supplement the Daily Mail article. I urge you to keep the threats to yourself, and refrain from unconstructive edits if you lack the knowledge about the subject in question, thank you. 2A02:A466:1107:1:8561:3D64:FBBE:D5BD (talk) 23:16, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
Okay Daily Mail article is gone. Hoewever i added additionel sources which points to the liberation of Begemder, referring to you changing it to took control of, so i changed the wordings back. It also provide additionel context to the sole Bloomberg source. 2A02:A466:1107:1:8561:3D64:FBBE:D5BD (talk) 23:52, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
I reacted to you on the talk page of Mi'irabawi Zone, not sure if it goes through. But you removed a important detail, including all it's sources, both in writing and visual. I can't appreciate you changing the wording, it is clear which party escalated this to a armed conflict. 2A02:A466:1107:1:8561:3D64:FBBE:D5BD (talk) 09:24, 18 March 2021 (UTC)
Teamwork?
Fernando Morientes, went to work in wording and added many many refs, care to assist in the statistic table (you're the stat man!) please? I added BDFUTBOL as a ref there for better assistance ;)
This doubt is driving me crazy, maybe you can "calm" me: how come in this diff (see here https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Fernando_Morientes&diff=next&oldid=1013853225), i added THREE new refs and the total went from 72 to 74? Mind-blowing...
Cheers, continue the great work from Deutschland! --85.243.89.253 (talk) 17:06, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
- Good work! I have updated the statistics tables to the current layout standard and added missing numbers from BDFutbol (thanks!) and Worldfootball.net.
- As for the reference number: the diff is quite large and I'm a bit tired. I'll pass for now. :-D Robby.is.on (talk) 20:14, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
Got it! As i was arranging the UEFA.com refs in his Real Madrid section, when i did that i left a blank one that counted in the ref total even tough it did not "exist" any more :) Great assistance kind fellow user, take care. --85.243.89.253 (talk) 21:04, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
How did you get those R. Madrid totals man? The DefensaCentral ref i added in storyline plus his official RM profile (https://www.realmadrid.com/pt/sobre-o-real-madrid/o-clube/historia/jogadores-lendarios-futebol/fernando-morientes-sanchez) seem to confirm 242 gms/91 gls... --85.243.89.253 (talk) 23:57, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
- I used the BDFutbol numbers and added them up. Feel free to check the numbers for accuracy. The count of 242 appearances, 91 goals is too low for totals across all competitions and too high for league only. Robby.is.on (talk) 09:22, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
Not going to doubt your hard work one second mate, it just seemed odd to have that difference. Speaking of "odd things", just found tons of refs that state his competitive totals are those you inserted (strange as hell that the OFFICIAL club profile does not get it right)! Making all due corrections now, thanks a million again for your help. --85.243.89.253 (talk) 19:22, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
- Oh, wow, that's a relief! :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 19:58, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
Why you did that
I just added that because i knew of it from the wiki and wanted to added it there please tell me why you did that. It not cool. ): Dr.Mrico (talk) 01:22, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Dr.Mrico: I reverted your change for two reasons:
- 1. It wasn't clear to me how what you added relates to the article.
- 2. You didn't include a reference for the content you added. Content on Wikipedia needs to verifiable which means that "All quotations, and any material whose verifiability has been challenged or is likely to be challenged, must include an inline citation that directly supports the material. Any material that needs a source but does not have one may be removed." See Help:Referencing for beginners for how to add a reference. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 10:31, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

I don't think http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-023 is a reliable source; also, it doesn't mention "Black Shuck" so I don't see how we could use it to back a claim in Black Shuck. Please read WP:RS again to make sure you understand it.

@Dr.Mrico: I'm finding it very hard to make sense of what you are writing. scpwiki.com is not a reliable source. If you can supply a reliable source for the claim you want included in the Black Shuck article, that's fine. Meanwhile, I'm not interested in discussing the SCP Foundation or anything related, sorry. Dominique Berthaud
Hello Robby. I just made Dominique Berthaud. I have a small dilemma. Should I include that he played for ES Port-des-Barques in the infobox? He played/plays for this club since at least 2013 and up to at least 2017. (I won't include dates if I add it.) I would just like you to give me your personal opinion. The thing is, he played for this club in his 60s, well after he retired from actual professional football and even managing football. Paul Vaurie (talk) 19:07, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hi @Paul Vaurie:. :-) I definitely wouldn't put in the infobox. In my opinion, we should attempt to only cover a subject's professional career in the infobox since that is what they're notable for. In this case it's clear the stint was not professional. What do you think? Robby.is.on (talk) 19:59, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
- I would agree with you. If we included every post-career team some players played for it would be pretty long. Paul Vaurie (talk) 00:55, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
- Indeed! Robby.is.on (talk) 16:58, 30 March 2021 (UTC)

Stat man to the rescue
Hugo Moutinho, i feel the totals (even though they are sourced, at least for the seasons available, SW does not have the last in Cyprus, i'm not even sure if he played more for last club before retiring, and for i apologise!) do not match up :(
Thanks very much for your assistance again (and patience, my summaries are a lot better, but by no means perfect), take care! --85.243.89.253 (talk) 15:49, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
- I've added missing appearances from the 2015–16 season but other than that, the totals seem fine to me…
my summaries are a lot better
If that is so: keep it up! :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 17:04, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
He seems to have 12 goals for Drobeta (4+6+2), but the stat chart/box only reflect 10. I am going to attempt a fix, please pitch in if i do it poorly. --85.243.89.253 (talk) 17:28, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
- Looking good. Robby.is.on (talk) 18:31, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
Only noticed it now after years of editing there... Several stats missing at Hernâni Fortes, i'll lend you a hand (least i can do) :)
For Atlético it's 21 gms/0 goals in the 2010/11 season (plus 4/0 in the Taça de Portugal); 2/0 in the 2011/12 campaign (plus 1/0 in the Portuguese Cup; then loan to Mirandela); stats correct for 2012/13 (plus 1/0 in both the Portuguese and the Taça da Liga); 2018/19 season, he had 3/2 in the main Portuguese Cup and not 2/2. FORADEJOGO, now also a ref in that chart, covers/confirms all this.
I think i've covered everything, glad to be of service! --85.243.89.253 (talk) 04:05, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
- I've made the changes you suggested. I also found some other issues
- In the 2013–14 season, of the 26 league appearances for Vitória B previously listed two were play-off matches,
- in the 2014–15 season he made two cup appearances, not one for Vitória,
- in the 2017–18 season, the appearance for Porto B was missing.
- I haven't added the seasons after 2018–19 yet. Robby.is.on (talk) 08:44, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
Thanks a million again! On an unrelated note, just spotted your comment in @GiantSnowman:'s page. You folks are really ganging up on me it seems... I've made summaries in the past that were really nasty (albeit 99,9999999999999999% of them being directed at vandals), this one was hysterical but nothing else.
Makes me want to stop writing summaries altogether, i assure you that if people would not come to me complaining of that (per this) as they do regarding the (exact) opposite that's exactly what i would do.
Attentively, have a nice weekend (P.S. and if you want to stop helping out when i come to you because you feel betrayed, just say the word, i'll stop bothering you) --85.243.89.253 (talk) 14:04, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
- It's not "ganging up", it's just a few people agreeing that an edit summary of yours was not WP:CIVIL. Your still maintaining it was only "hysterical" would suggest multiple people telling you that isn't enough to convince you.
- The edit summary was not as "nasty" as other edit summaries you have written but "LOL, <editor> even translated the name of the club in the trans-title" is ridiculing another editor. I don't think you'd like it if someone laughed at your work. It's not a biggie and I don't feel betrayed but if you think ridiculing other editors editing in good faith is okay I've got to disagree. Robby.is.on (talk) 21:26, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
I agree completely, cannot say anything more than that. --85.243.89.253 (talk) 22:20, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

Hey Robby. Could you please nominate Grégory Deswarte, Cédric Jandau, Jocelyn Merlen, and Réginald Becque for deletion? Bits and pieces
Was expecting to be reverted, but not this soon :) Fine, article stays incoherent in display (all the clubs unpiped, one piped; and never understood the big fuss/wikicrime to display clubs in full in storyline anyway, not one of biggest guidelines to "hang on to" wouldn't you agree?)... Check this example, if you please: CD Numancia, from the city of Soria, why is the article named with the "CD" - only ONE club in the world named like this - if it's never to be used?
While i'm here, technical question (and somewhat related, since you did that at several A. Bilbao players): are we never to write (for example) 0-2 in a match score, even if the home team loses? I just want to vary now and then in the writing, being encyclopedical of course ;)
Kind regards, happy weekend --85.243.89.253 (talk) 15:29, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- 1. CD Numancia I assume that's because without the "CD" it wouldn't be clear what the subject of the article is – Numancia is a disambiguation page.
- 2. Piping
never understood the big fuss/wikicrime to display clubs in full in storyline anyway
Others don't get your fussiness about the formatting of references. People have different leanings and priorities… - Give me a good reason why we should refer to the football club as "Torino F.C." in the storyline when nobody else does. Maybe you can convince me…
- I'm all for consistency. I'd welcome it if you'd fix the piping in the articles you're interested in and which you have edited. As far as I can tell it is in fact those articles that are inconsistent with most others in this respect.
- 3. Scores Yes, it is WP:FOOTY consensus to write the larger number first because it is easier to read. There was a discussion not too long ago which affirmed this. You can check the archives at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football. I don't think match scores are the right place to get creative. ;-) Looking forward to the weekend, it's only Thursday though. :-P Robby.is.on (talk) 16:16, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
Give me a good reason why we should refer to the football club as "Torino F.C." in the storyline
The only reason i can provide is purely aesthetic, man, not saying i'm playing God and inventing new guidelines as we "go". But i repeat, if the name of the article IS "Torino F.C.", is displaying it like that in the prose totally and utterly wrong? Fail to see how... --85.243.89.253 (talk) 20:20, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- Here's a quote from Wikipedia:Naming conventions (sports teams): "Where an article is clearly about a particular sport you do not need to put a prefix or suffix (like RLFC, CCC or FK) throughout the article text but merely in the title. For example, FC Barcelona is the article name but throughout the body Barcelona is sufficient."
- We need the "FC" is in the article title so we know it's about the football club and not the city or anything else (the "Precision" criterium at WP:CRITERIA). But we don't need to use the "FC" throughout the article.
totally and utterly wrong?
If we're writing the Aritz Adúriz article would it be "totally and utterly wrong" to refer to him as "Aritz Aduriz" throughout the article instead of "Aduriz" or "he"? Maybe not. Is it desirable? I don't think so, it clutters up the prose and makes the article harder to read.- Does that make sense? Robby.is.on (talk) 20:51, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
I agree 100% with the Aduriz example! The "FC"/"CD" bit, i repeat, is only for aesthetic reasons, and of course one would only write (for example) "FC Barcelona" once in the prose, next it would be mentioned as "club"/"team"/"side". --85.243.89.253 (talk) 21:32, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- Aesthetics are often very subjective and hard to grasp, I'm not sure how they can lead us to a consensus.
- That is what is sometimes done for the clubs a players plays for or has played for as they tend to be mentioned more than once. But with other teams - "clubs mentioned in passing, such as clubs a player has played against", as I wrote in my initial message – I think it makes a lot more sense to pipe them consistently. C class
Hey Robby. Do you think it's appropriate to rate Michel Marella as C-class? (That's what I did). Paul Vaurie (talk) 23:29, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hi @Paul Vaurie:. I'm not proficient with rating articles but I think it's fine. The class below "C" is "Start" which is described as "An article that is developing but still quite incomplete. It may or may not cite adequate reliable sources.". (WP:WPFA) Marella's article seems to cover most of his career and has a decent amount of sources. :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 07:58, 15 April 2021 (UTC)
- Alright, thank you! Paul Vaurie (talk) 11:50, 15 April 2021 (UTC)
RE:Reference for honours
Hello, I have now added a reference on all the pages I edited last night. Since we are here in this conversation, I am unsure which is the standardization for the Honours section; Firstly, if we have a reference next to the club name do we have to add/remove the references for each individual trophy? And secondly, if the player has only won club trophies and nothing individual should the "Club" sub-paragraph be removed and only add the club names? I've seen some users that keep the "Club" sub-paragraph and other that don't. Thanks in advance.8Dodo8 (talk · contribs) 09:06, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
- Ok, duly noted! Thanks for your response. :)8Dodo8 (talk · contribs) 17:54, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
That policy doesn't apply here since I was actually changing the article to correct factual errors about the player's international appearances and just happened to change that link too. You reverted me twice for no reason. – PeeJay 14:34, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
Albert Jourda
Albert Jourda was born on 4 January 1893 and died on 6 January 1962 at the age of 69. My source for this is the Italian wiki Statto947 (talk) 21:25, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
Removed edit request on Thierry Henry
I removed the edit request because it was a request for editing a different page. edit semi-protected-Alan Shearer ... I believe a valid inclusion to Alan's profile...
They already had a request open on the correct page. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 11:24, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
- @ScottishFinnishRadish: Oh, right, thanks for the explanation. I missed that they wrote "Alan". But I assume they meant Henry because both Shearer and Henry were inducted.
- Anyway, my point was that we should communicate why we revert – especially when reverting newcomers unfamiliar with Wikipedia processes. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 11:29, 29 April 2021 (UTC) Robby.is.on (talk) 11:29, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
- That's an issue I've run into with the Edit Request Helper, there's no way to add additional edit summaries to actions to better explain them. There's been a few other times where being able to append to the edit summary would have been handy. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 11:32, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
- @ScottishFinnishRadish: Oh, I see. I'm not familiar with the tool. Would removing an edit request through a manual edit or a simple revert be workable alternatives? Robby.is.on (talk) 12:32, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
- It can be, but the tool is to speed up the often tedious process of handling the dozens of requests. In the future I'll try to manually edit if it appears the request is in good faith. One of the uses cases for the "Remove request" option in the tool is duplicate requests, however, so knowing which are worth manually editing and which need a custom edit summary may still lead to a few slipping through. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 12:37, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
- @ScottishFinnishRadish: Sounds good. :-) Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 18:57, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

"Resurfaced troll"
I am noticing that this troll, believed to be the same one as 2020, has been using a couple of 'fake' signatures including mine. By changing my signature, it is hopeful that users who'd seen this editing behaviour for the first time won't sanction me (and rightly so). I suspect others may have noticed that in the past as well. Daily Mail: unreliable source
Hi Robby Thanks for your message re. my edit of the Jens Lehmann article. I’m pretty new to this so perhaps you can provide some additional guidance. Whilst I wouldn’t think of citing The Mail in reference to any socio-political subjects - on account of its clear and extreme right-wing bias (and I certainly don’t wish to defend it!) - but as far as I know they have a decent, if forthright, reputation when it comes to sports reporting. Is there room for a more nuanced approach? Can context and subject matter have any bearing on how one might assess a source? I’d be interested to hear your thoughts. All the best

User:Paul Vaurie/Articles
Hey Robby! I know you still watch my user page to fix the formatting & whatnot. So, to help you with that, I just want to let you know that all new articles I make will no longer be added on my user page at User:Paul Vaurie, but on a sub-page with all my articles on User:Paul Vaurie/Articles. If you please... I found new Liga Portugal 2 stats for this former player (per FORADEJOGO), as well as some missing Taça de Portugal appearances. I think i got the job done, but i wouldn't be surprised of the contrary ;)
Kind regards, thanks in advance for whatever you can provide. --193.137.135.2 (talk) 13:29, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
- I didn't check whether the numbers correspond to the references. But I corrected some totals that seemed off. Robby.is.on (talk) 14:18, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
Thanks again! Now for Miku, just from one quick glance totals seemed totally screwed :( --193.137.135.2 (talk) 11:33, 6 May 2021 (UTC)
And the last one for a long time man, i promise! Ricardo Pessoa, all the seasons with Vitória F.C. missing plus four with Portimonense S.C.. No point in me adding the totals because i would most likely screw it up, but all least i added/corrected all the apps in the seasons that are currently available (adding FORADEJOGO to the chart as a reference; speaking of refs, someone should archive the SOCCERWAY link for when the subject is a player, because if/when they turn managers a lot of good/correct data is forever lost (as his the case with Mr. Pessoa. And by the way SOCCERWAY is way off base in this case, he was never a manager of Portimonense or any other club!)). This just in: see this (https://www.zerozero.pt/player.php?id=389, to your right side. Portuguese website that was once used here but not anymore, due to it being user-generated), "only" an assistant manager ("treinador adjunto" in my mother tongue) at the aforementioned team.
Take care again, cheers! --85.243.89.253 (talk) 17:21, 6 May 2021 (UTC)
- I've tried to fix the totals at Miku and Ricardo Pessoa. It's indeed a very annoying that Soccerway's stats disappear when the player becomes a coach. Unfortunately, for Pessoa's Soccerway profile archive.org "has not archived that URL". Robby.is.on (talk) 07:49, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
Kind at a loss here... can you elaborate please? If you mean (think i saw that in some summaries by bots) me inserting the CORRECT title in refs (when the newspaper article has quotation marks in its title, i leave it), "guilty" i guess :(
Have i been doing it the wrong way? If so, why (honestly, cannot remember what was said in our last/first conversation on this topic you bring forward)? --193.137.135.2 (talk) 09:21, 11 May 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for catching my mistake on Porches (band)
I stumbled on an article about a non-notable album of theirs and should have done more checking before assuming the band itself was non-notable. Infobox link Claude Lowitz
Hey Robby. I noticed you removed the wikilink for the second spell of Claude Lowitz at Pau FC. Why did you do this? Was it an accident? Usually we double link even if it was linked shortly before in infobox football biography. It's just the norm. Paul Vaurie (talk) 16:31, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Paul Vaurie: Hi Paul. Yeah, I did that intentionally. It seems to have been a norm but many cases that are considered MOS:OVERLINKing now used to be the norm and it recently occurred to me that I couldn't come up with a good reason to flout MOS:OVERLINK in this case. Can you think of a good reason for repeated links? Robby.is.on (talk) 18:29, 19 May 2021 (UTC)

Baltic states
For people from Baltic states from instead of first soviet occupation (1940-1941), German occupation (1941-1944) and second soviet occupation (1944-1990/91) Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania is used without the Soviet additions. It's de jure vs de facto, de facto they were Soviet Union, de jure the three states continued to exist, with both western states not recognizing the occupation and their diplomatic representations in western countries continuing their missions. So the sovereignty of these states never moved to Soviet Union. As per Template:Infobox person birth/death places are sovereign state , and so Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are used. See State continuity of the Baltic states, Welles Declaration, Baltic Legations (1940–1991) Klõps (talk) 10:00, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

- Oh, I remember this fellow. He scored against my favourite team, Werder Bremen, in the Europa League. :-) I've standardised the table layout, made sourcing more explicit and corrected some wrong numbers. I'll see if I can update the table next. Robby.is.on (talk) 11:01, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
Great (team)work! But you missed one entry in 2011/12 and also got last two seasons wrong (happens to the best, as is the case here :)). I've already lent a hand, don't mention it LOL! Also, since the MAISFUTEBOL source in box did not display his birthplace, i added another in wording that covers both that and his beginnings in football. Now we're set, many thanks again! --193.137.135.2 (talk) 11:30, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks! Sad day for me today: Werder Bremen has been relegated. :-( Robby.is.on (talk) 15:32, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
As Hamburger back in the day, and Schalke this season. They'll bounce back! Great days for Bremen with Allofs, Eilts, Beiersdorfer, Rufer, Wolter and this young prospect... Have a terrific end of weekend ;) --85.243.89.253 (talk) 22:44, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
- I hope so! I only started following in the mid-1990s towards the ends of the careers of Eilts, Beiersdorfer and Votava. I've been a season ticket holder since the 2003–04 season when they last won the Bundesliga. That season was of course followed by a few more fantastic seasons in the Champions League… :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 06:48, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

William Saliba
robby i saw in frank kessie that his been loan at ac milan from 2017-2019 and someone has delete and his connect together from 2017- now,so i repeat from him to saliba Wanroslan (talk) 09:28, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
- Hi @Wanroslan:, thanks for the explanation. I had a look at Franck Kessié and indeed the most recent changes there were wrong so I reverted them. We need to indicate the loan spells even if they are followed by a permanent signing or preceded by being under a permanent contract.
- I have reverted your changes at William Saliba. Contracts in most European leagues end on 30 June so Saliba will formally remain on loan at Nice until then, even if he won't play a match for Nice from now until then. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 10:07, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
i want ask you robby why in page messi and ronaldo you guys don't puts runner-up and other play you guys puts or because messi and ronaldo is goat and you guys don't want dirty their page? Wanroslan (talk) 10:11, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Wanroslan: I think that decision is a result of a discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football; you can search the archives there for that discussion.
- I think the argument was that the "Honours" sections at Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo would become hard to read if we were to include runner-up honours as they have won so many trophies. Robby.is.on (talk) 10:19, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
