[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited International Communist Seminar, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Cuban. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

East Turkestan flag
[edit]I dont really want to dispute with you over the flag, rather I wish to work with you in determining it.
Light blue with white moon + star is ofc the typical Uighur/East Turkestan flag even today, and was used in the First East Turkestan Republic https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Hoja-Niyaz.jpg
"Internet sources" claim the 2nd East Turkestan to also use a blue flag with a moon + star (facing up). This is backed up by things like this: https://imgur.com/a/6m70TwE Obvious depictions of the flag in this design, and with colour being "confirmed" by the choice of light blue when "coloring it" in the monochrome stamp, as well as all emblems/medals etc showing the typical East Turkestan light blue + white moon + star, used as the flag.
The description by Saifuddin Azizi is however credible, but very strange considering the other facts... Should there not be any images of this flag in use anywhere to show it using a light (blue) or dark (green) shade? The only case I know of a clear deptiction of the national flag is at the negotiations between East Turkestan and China in 1946: https://imgur.com/a/zkYbbrx . But I wonder if one of these two versions are edited... Either adding or removing the moon? The low-quality one with the moon seems likelier to be edited, but does the "shape" of the moon not remain on the high quality one? Is there any photos or emblems/memorabilia showing dark green or anything else?
I know of some images of flags, but which are possibly not the national flags (such as the regimental flags) here https://imgur.com/a/bT3jSFN.
The dark green emblems from the movie you linked to cannot be used as a real source, however... --Havsjö (talk) 17:13, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
- I insist that the green flag is more appropriate.Saifeng3 (talk) 03:44, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
- No comment of the present images? Is there anything other than Saifuddin Azizi claim to back up the dark green design? --Havsjö (talk) 12:05, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
- There is no written information indicating the use of blue flags by the Republic of East Turkestan.Saifeng3 (talk) 13:23, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
